I need a cold shower.
I seriously want to renounce my gender so I can act on the lesbian fantasies I am having right now. WHY IS IT SO HARD FOR OTHER PEOPLE TO DO WHAT RACHEL JUST DID? She called a liar a liar.

The other thing that is super nice about spring here is that there are so few bugs and the temperature is perfect, so I can leave the back door open all day. Tunch has responded by lounging on the back deck all evening:
Of all the animals, I think Tunch loves the fence the most. He was an indoor cat for nine years, now he has this great outdoors to explore. I love watching him saunter around the backyard, thinking he is all stealthy. He sort of moves like a regular stealthy cat, but it just comes off all wrong given his girth. Think Kirstie Alley on DWTS.
My parents are on vacation again down at Isle of Palms in South Carolina. They and some folks they have known for 40 years rented the house for 10 days, and have been down there relaxing, eating, and taking all the collective beasts to the dog parks. I tried to call mom to talk to her tonight, but they were all caught up in a very competitive game of Cranium. I’m betting that was lots of fun- a bunch of 70 year old nascent Alzheimer’s patients doing brain teasers. Two questions could probably provide enough entertainment for a week. I said that to my mother and she told me to go to hell.

Boy, I feel good.
There is just something about working in the yard and doing stuff around the house in springtime that just makes you feel so much better than a simple workout. It’s a different kind of tired, plus you get the sunshine and the fresh air and you just feel better.
Made some delicious chicken tacos for dinner, had a glass of wine, and now I think I am going to settle in front of the boob tube and channel surf before hitting the hay.
You?

Actual journalism has been committed:
That’s because oil is a global commodity and U.S. production has only a tiny influence on supply. Factors far beyond the control of a nation or a president dictate the price of gasoline.
When you put the inflation-adjusted price of gas on the same chart as U.S. oil production since 1976, the numbers sometimes go in the same direction, sometimes in opposite directions. If drilling for more oil meant lower prices, the lines on the chart would consistently go in opposite directions. A basic statistical measure of correlation found no link between the two, and outside statistical experts confirmed those calculations.
“Drill, baby, drill has nothing to do with it,” said Judith Dwarkin, chief energy economist at ITG investment research. Two other energy economists said the same thing and experts in the field have been making that observation for decades.
The statistics directly contradict the title of GOP presidential candidate Newt Gingrich’s 2008 book “Drill Here, Drill Now, Pay Less,” as well as the campaign-trail claims from the GOP presidential candidates.
I can’t wait to see how the Politifact folks will spin this.

Fred Barnes at the Weekly Standard can’t help himself, suggesting that the Serious Paul Ryan should be Romney’s running mate. The poor should just be ground up into tortillas anyway. The Ryan Plan will make so much more of them.
These people are insane.

FORT WORTH — Police are trying to identify the man who entered the West 7th office of State Sen. Wendy Davis Tuesday afternoon and threw two firebombs just outside the door.
Two staffers were in the third floor office when the attack occurred around 4 o’clock. One of them had to leap over the flames to escape, then went to the break room, grabbed an extinguisher and put out the fire.
Investigators said Sen. Davis was not in the office at the time of the incident, but was at her law office closer to downtown Fort Worth.A staffer told News 8 the Democratic lawmaker was alerted about what happened and that security at Davis’ other local office was tightened as a result.
No one was hurt, but the lawmaker’s office was damaged by the fire.
It’s unclear yet whether or not the firebombing of Senator Davis’s office is connected to her advocacy for women’s health and pro-Planned Parenthood stance, but it sure feels that way to me and to the pro-choice women in Texas:
TX state senator @WendyDavisTexas‘ office was FIREBOMBED tonight. She is pro-@PPact. THIS IS NOT A COINCIDENCE. @AngryBlackLady #teamuterati
