I know this is kind of meta, and I know that Mistermix talked about it earlier, but I just can’t tell you how upset I am about Inkblot’s untimely demise. I’ve thought about it about 20 times today, and it just depresses me. Several times, Tunch was sitting next to me bitching and talking and I almost yelled at him to shut up, then remembered what happened to Inkblot, and scooped him up and gave him a big hug.
If it weren’t for Kevin Drum, I would never have started posting pictures of Tunch. I knew how happy Tunch made me, but watching how happy pictures of Inkblot and Jasmine made others, I started pet blogging. From that, we were able to create a Balloon Juice store with picture of the girls and Tunch and the annual calendars, and we have raised about 20k plus from store sales alone (and that doesn’t count the donations from bleg posts) for Charlies Angels Animal Rescue. Jasmine and Inkblot were to catblogging what Tinkers to Evers to Chance were to the double play.
So, Inkblot, it is sad to see you go in such an untimely and horrifying manner, but, unwittingly, you helped save hundreds upon hundreds of animals. That ought to get you an eternal kitty heaven supply of tuna, and not that healthy albacore stuff, but the greasy oily tuna I know you kitties love. You done good.
