Appropriate time to post, given what King must be smoking.

I’ve been questioning Jon King’s judgment ever since I found out he was in a relationship with Dana Bash.
Those two will have children stupider than the hosts of "Fox and Friends"

What most stands out to me with the clip, as a long time viewer of TDS, is that at about 1:40, the question that appears is "Why is America more concerned about the economy then terror?"
I know that Fox has issues with Obama (last name) and Osama (first name), but than and then? Surely the editors have taken some english classes in their past.
Or should we ask the question: "Fox News, do they know their a******s from their elbows?"
Indylib
I would love to see TDS go after the Village for crap like this.

Cavuto on right now. Screen asks, "Is Pres learning it’s easy to criticize, tough to lead?"
Atanarjuat
The question of Obama possibly deceiving the American people is a valid one, liberals, despite your partisan mockery. People have a right to understand just how — and why — Obama is throwing so much taxpayer money at issues that reek of socialism.
You leftists sure had no problem questioning President Bush’s sincerity vis-a-vis the War in Iraq or the War on Terror in general, so get off that hypocritical nag of yours.

WHY IS OBAMA BUILDING A TRAIN FROM DISNEYLAND TO THE BUNNY RANCH IN LOS VEGAS?! No? Factually inaccurate? Let’s try again.

Cavuto getting serious now: "Will school police start searching kids’ lunches?"
KG
@7: yes, because it was President Obama, in 2008 that called for TARP, and sent his Treasury Secretary to Capital Hill with a really big number they pulled from their ass in order to scare everyone into acting without thinking.
Oh, no, wait, that’s right that was the Bush Administration after 7 years of not enforcing banking laws or the Sherman Anti-Trust Act.

Is there any actual evidence that Obama is deceiving the public? Put up or shut up, right now please.
Remember that we had quite a bit of evidence to question Bush – most notably the UN weapons inspectors themselves. We also knew that Bush was drawing up Iraq plans pre-9/11 courtesy of Richard Clarke and we also knew that the wiretapping started pre-9/11 courtesy of the Qwest CEO.
Where is your evidence? Put up or shut up. Right now please. That is your schtick, no?

Is King’s contract up and is he playing for a new gig at FoxNews?

On the other hand, John King also asked this question:

I believe people understand why Obama is throwing taxpayer money at those issues. And, thanks to McCain and the Republicans (what a crappy band), they know it’s called soc ialism and are OK with it, since Obama’s approval ratings are in the high 60s. The Republicans could probably claim some of that if they were to start talking about how they helped set up some of the corporate welfare, but pointing out that they were trying to save their friends rather than the average American worker probably wouldn’t go over so well.
blahblahblah
I’m deeply offended by this question. When will Mr. Stewart ask about how wonderful is former President Bush? No wonder people don’t take The Daily Show seriously.
Zifnab
@Xanthippas:
Why? It hardly means anything at this point. Socia lism is just another word for "Whaaa! I don’t like the opposing party!" It has no context, doesn’t in any way reference existing policy or ideology, and hasn’t been a good example of "failed government" in nearly twenty years.
Name a few Soci alist failures. China? They own half our debt and sell us half our imports. Their socialism seems to be working just fine. The EU? With its strong currency and high standard of living. Maybe you’re referencing Cuba or Venezuala, third world countries that regularly thumb their noses at the last world Superpower in the face of crippling embargoes and repeated threats of military force.
When you’re staring down a doubling in the unemployment rate over less than a year and a complete collapse of the financial foundation of the capitalist system, it’s really hard to talk shit about the s-word, giving that you’re sitting in a pile of it.

@Rick Taylor: Rick, those are facts.
If he had held up a printed out version of FireDogLake that said “Does Dick Cheney rape babies?,” then turned around and asked “Is this true, do you rape babies, Mr. Cheney,” then you would have a point.

Think Progress has an interesting post on FOX too.
They show that clip and then the clip the Biden comment came from. It was Biden excoriating McCain for saying "The fundamentals of our economy are strong."

red states? Or does that mean that they are secretly socialist? hmmm…..

@Atanarjuat:
First off, I’d appreciate it if you would stop with the labels – calling the people here who post as "leftists" just shows you are not willing to post in good faith (and continue to provide evidence for the rest of us that you are nothing but a troll, and not a very good one at that).
Second, I haven’t personally come across any "leftist" here or anywhere else for that matter questioning Preseident Bush’s sincerity vis-a-vis the War in Iraq or the War on Terror. What people have questioned has been one of the following (take your pick): his judgement, his his intelligence, his moral compass, and/or his leadership.
I’m sure others can come up with their own..

@eponymous:
You mean the way most of you here scrupulously avoid using the pejorative "wingnuts" in practically every post? That’s some "good faith" you’re selling there.
Sorry, Epy — no sale.
As for the rest of your post, it’s a semantics shell game you’re offering here. No matter how you try to legitimize anti-Bush rhetoric from almost every liberal, it all boils down to endlessly negative criticism (and, in some cases, rather vitriolic) of the overall leader of your ideological opposition.
Now that the shoe’s on the other foot, and a Democrat’s in office, oh, how you liberals are howling with outrage that anyone would dare question the various pronouncements and proposals made by the Obama administration.
Yeah, I know, I know… because it’s "wingnuts" doing it, it’s automatically invalid, not rational, dishonest, corrupt, etc., etc.
It’s funny how that works out.
Perhaps you should wear your hypocrisy hats with pride, liberals, since your shameless attempts to spin your Bush-is-Evil diatribes of the past eight years aren’t fooling anyone.
It’s just irksome to see pretentiously "righteous indignation" from those trying to defend the current President when they did nothing but slather non-stop, hateful drivel on the past Commander-in-Chief.
-A
TR
I know you’re a spoof, but could you give us an example of some "anti-Bush rhetoric" that is not "negative criticism"? Isn’t rhetoric against the former president going to be inherently negative? Or is there some form of anti-Bush rhetoric that is just positive praise of the man?

The way you legitimize criticism is by reference to facts, observed behavior and comparison to law, civility and competence. Unfortunately for you, Dubya failed on every count.

@les:
Yeah les, I know. Liberals are all about civility and competence, and truth is always at their side like a Flaming Sword of Justice.
Keep those partisan goggles on tight, kid — you’re doing great!
As wildly inconsistent as you leftists are when it comes to "responsible criticism" of the President (which is absolutely dependent on whether there’s a "D" or an "R" next to the name), there is one thing most of you are very consistent at doing: blaming conservatives wholesale for the economic disaster we’re all mired in together — or any other issue, for that matter.
Little wonder that the nation will take such a long time to dig itself out from under this shrinking economy, especially with at least half the population gratuitously slapping at the other half to score political points and exhorting the current administration to exploit the recession to massively expand Government.
