My sleep cycle is funky but if I’m not napping I’ll likely join again. The ones last year were fun.
Ty for organizing us as you always do so well!
Ben Cisco (onboard the Defiant)
Gotta check comms, but I should be there.
zhena gogolia
I’ll try but not in a great mood. And I look like one of the hags in the Scottish play.
Phylllis
Looking forward to it.
JoyceH
Aww, I enjoyed the last BJ Zoom I attended but I’m overbooked with another Zoom today.
feebog
I’m in, bored with the football games and online poker.
Suzanne
I’ll try to make it!
NotMax
Will it be recorded?
WaterGirl
@NotMax: unlikely, why do you ask?
HinTN
My dear departed Carlotta, a mix of Borzoi and Shepherd and the runt of the litter, would bound through the high grass like that Shepherd in the video. She was spectacular.
sab
I feel better about dog zoomies now. Ponyo just roared down the stairs so fast that she crashed into a chair, knocking it over before she crashed into the wall. And I was thinking how weird she is sometimes.
CaseyL
Looking forward to it!
SiubhanDuinne
See all y’all on zoom.
LiminalOwl
@WaterGirl: I hope to be there.
Miss Bianca
Will try to make it!
NotMax
@WaterGirl
No specific reason. Curiosity more than anything else.
mrmoshpotato
@sab: Haha, hope nothing was broken.
We were watching my sister’s pitbull (she’ll lick your face off!) all week, and some zoomies were had after a couple afternoon walks. No crashes.
Sure Lurkalot
Hope to pop in and meet everyone!
mrmoshpotato
I might pop in to say ahoy, maties.
dmsilev
Maybe. I’m attending a (virtual) birthday party for my niece and nephew around then, so it depends on how long that lasts.
Ruckus
I’m in.
Have just finished my 2 mile now daily walk – in the sun! Of course it was 59 degrees in the sun, but that’s shorts weather…..
debbie
That “Oh, my god!” gets me every time.
Scuffletuffle
I don’t have a mike yet, can I still join in? (Tech phobic person here…computer is a magic box…)
Yutsano
I’ll pop on in. My plans for today went ungestuppt when the well water at the ranch froze. It’s flowing now so I”m gonna grab a shower and maybe some more snackies.
mrmoshpotato
@Scuffletuffle: You can join video only if your computer doesn’t have a microphone.
You can also call one of the listed phone numbers and put in the meeting number and passcode to join like it’s a conference call.
debbie
Has science figured out what
zombieszoomies are all about?WaterGirl
@debbie: Zombies, probably not. :-)
debbie
@WaterGirl:
Oy. Thanks!
mvr
Hoping to make it.
Scuffletuffle
@mrmoshpotato: Thank you!
NotMax
@WaterGirl
Mother Nature in action — Zombees.
Trivia:
When the Comics Code was instituted during the 1950s the word zombie was on the verboten list.
So the company which eventually morphed into Marvel instead produced stories with “zuvembies.”

Thanks for the dog pictures. It is 5 degrees snowing and the horses won’t come out of the barn, can’t blame them. The dogs cheered me up enough to head out to feed, water and shovel.
zhena gogolia
I tried to join but didn’t get let in.
H.E.Wolf
@zhena gogolia: fyi, we had a major topic change to Movies, a few moments ago… :)
zhena gogolia
@H.E.Wolf: thanks ? I think it’s just not my day
H.E.Wolf
@zhena gogolia: Understood; sending good wishes! May this time next year be better than now. :)
zhena gogolia
@H.E.Wolf: I hope so thanks ?
WaterGirl
@zhena gogolia: do you want to try again? i will watch for you.
zhena gogolia
@WaterGirl: thanks no I did get in but the Covid conversation wasn’t helping my mood
NotMax
@zhena gogolia
We’ve moved well beyond that to more fun stuff.
LongHairedWeirdo
@zhena gogolia: I doubt you’ll see this (or that I’ll remember to check for the answer) but, I’m honestly curious. I had a theater friend who I would sometimes troll with “Oh, yes, that Scottish play, Mac_HAMlet!” in or around the theater, or, if she was acting or directing in a play that was running.
Because I respected her, and the theater (far more for having known her!), I rehearsed that joke. Given who I am, I could say “well, Mack, Beth could have been my theater friend’s name – she’s a woman – but I’d never put those two syllables together, even if they were the names Mack and Beth, in a theater context.”
Is there a further reach to the superstition, or a story involved, or are you just alluding to the theater?
(And if that’s a weird question, well… sorry, but, see, it’s even in the nym! and I like culture (superstitions) stories (well, most good ones…), and allusions – especially the ones that are hard to see because ‘allusions’ rhymes with ‘illusions’, see….)
WaterGirl
@zhena gogolia: Yeah, at the 30-minute mark we took a sharp pivot from covid to politics, movies and theater.
We have to live it, but that doesn’t mean that we have to talk about it during our “fun” time.
