Senator Cornpone Leghorn has surely earned himself some spotlight, though…
WASHINGTON — Sen. John Kennedy (R-La.) told President Joe Biden’s judicial nominee Dale Ho that he won’t support his nomination because he thinks he’s too angry to be a judge. https://t.co/8PPw1nwyBf

.@maziehirono on Kennedy's criticisms of Ho.
“With regard to now-Justice Kavanaugh, there were over 1,000 law professors and deans of law schools who wrote to this committee saying that he did not have the judicial temperament to be on the Supreme Court, and yet, there he sits."
— Jennifer Bendery (@jbendery) December 2, 2021
Conservatives have targeted Ho for defeat over past tweets and his advocacy work for groups like the American Civil Liberties Union.
He is currently the director of the ACLU’s voting rights project. https://t.co/8PPw1nwyBf

Senator Kennedy recently disgraced himself while attacking Saule Omarova, President Biden’s choice for next head of the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency — but at least there’s an argument, however weak, about Omarova’s ideas…

Imagine having degrees from Vanderbilt, UVA, & Magdalen College, & choosing to be seen in public acting like such a buffoonish yokel that if he was a northerner half the South would be protesting his bigoted caricature of Southerners. That’s Kennedy
— Dana Houle (@DanaHoule) November 18, 2021
Attacking Dale Ho as ‘too angry’ is just pure uncut bigotry — in Kennedy’s world, only white men are allowed to have strong emotions. This cheapjack xenophobia, from a man who has every reason to know better, but who wants to be all over the teevee spouting garbage to tickle the dumbest and meanest of his constituents.
To quote Mr. Charles P. Pierce, “John Kennedy Is the Biggest Faker in the United States Senate, and That’s Saying Something”.

The marchers on the Mall today seem to believe that January 6th was a sign of imminent revolution.
