All three of the individuals in the above tweets would enjoy this:

I love that trampoline video. I sent the rubber chicken video to my friend last night. I watched it about 10x.
Goku (aka Amerikan Baka)
LOL. I loved that Tik Tok video. It must’ve been hard to get those dog toys to imitate Africa’s Toto so well
MagdaInBlack
Oh dear lord, the chicken-kazoo Toto rendition ! ? I’ve sent it to 2 friends
Mary G
Lyrebird
Thank you AL!
The cat is adorbs but yes it is the Toto homage that is the Internet content I needed this evening. The world is hot trash, yes, and I’m feeling kinda discouraged. So yeah, bring on the singing dog toys!
MagdaInBlack
@Goku (aka Amerikan Baka): Ohhh, it’s a dog toy. Even better ?
HumboldtBlue
Check out 8-year-old Maya Mulholland.

I mentioned that someone in a black Benz backed into my car while I was at work last night. While the damage looks bad is seems to have avoided the working parts of the car(lights work and it drives).
HeleninEire
That cat video is CRAZY. I can’t stop watching it.
Lyrebird
@HumboldtBlue: Thanks that is awesome!
BTW are you the one who has posted links at times from a cooking show called “from my ranch to your kitchen” or something like that? Sorry my Spanish is minimal, don’t want to insult by remembering it wrong.
If so, thanks! Those are great videos.
Goku (aka Amerikan Baka)
@?BillinGlendaleCA:
Oh man that sucks. At least the tail-lights still work
Goku (aka Amerikan Baka)
@MagdaInBlack:
IKR?
Another Scott
@?BillinGlendaleCA: Ouch. :-( Car damage is so stressful.
Any chance at getting the store video to track down who did it and go after their insurance company?
Good luck!
Cheers,
Scott.
HumboldtBlue
@Lyrebird:
Yes, that’s a wonderful series.
I’m also enjoying this retired English (I think he’s a Geordie) chef’s channel as well. I swear I’m gonna make a Yorkshire pudding one day.
Quiltingfool
That kitty is so proud to snag the package! My kitty did something funny the other day; I bought her one of those fluffy, round pet beds. It’s in my sewing room so she can simultaneously supervise and nap. I woke up the other morning and saw she had dragged the bed out of the sewing room to the door of the bedroom. I took a picture and sent it to my husband. He said it was there when he got up (he stepped on it in the dark and thought he stepped on the cat) so he left it there so I could see what she’d done. I’m wondering if I should buy another and put it in the bedroom…

Google just told me that the term “toilet paper” was first used in The New York Times on July 15, 1888.
It didn’t tell me if it was in a recommendation on how to use the New York Times.
?BillinGlendaleCA
@Another Scott: I walk to work, it was parked on the street outside my house. A kind person witnessed the accident and left me a note with the tag number of the car.
jl
Dang, those two are exemplars of cat and dog.
We had a cat that would fetch things like that, but the problem was then he (or she… I forget) wanted to run and make us earn whatever he helpfully retrieved for us.
stinger
@Quiltingfool: Yes.
mrmoshpotato
@Viva BrisVegas: Hahahaha
Goku (aka Amerikan Baka)
@?BillinGlendaleCA:
Nice!
?BillinGlendaleCA
@?BillinGlendaleCA: I should note, the person that left the note was a 3rd party witness. The person in the Benz did not leave their info which is required by law, it’s basically a hit-and-run. I’m going to check around and see if I see the car and leave them a note if I do. If not, I’ll file a report with the Glendale Police.
Goku (aka Amerikan Baka)
@Another Scott:
Definitely sounds good to me, if it will pass constitutional muster, which isn’t a sure thing nowadays. It seems like a workaround though, relying on an administration being in office that will enforce the law that way. It’d be even better to have a federal law banning such a practice
Steeplejack
@Quiltingfool:
Yes!

Too much sharing here:
We have an Amana dryer. We clean the limt screen from the outside of the machine by pulling out a little tray on top of the machine. I tried to pull the screen out today and let out a screech. The entire handle indentation was full of cat piss. Dobby and the girls have foumd a new place for their pissing turf battles. Fortunately none of it got into the dryer.

@MattF:
And the origin of the genre.
Leroy Anderson was a son of New England as well.

I really enjoy a well-baked potato. Li’l butter, salt, deelish.
mrmoshpotato
@HumboldtBlue: I’ve heard of getting buttered up, but this is ridiculous.
HumboldtBlue
@mrmoshpotato:
Baby, we ain’t even talked about pepper yet.
mrmoshpotato
@HumboldtBlue: Spicy!

@HumboldtBlue: Yorkshire pudding isn’t difficult to make. It’s just a batter that you pour into hot grease (drippings from a standing rib roast, YUM!) and bake it.
The batter is easy: 1 Cup of milk, 1Cup of flour, 2 eggs, and 1/2 tsp of salt. Beat all of that together and let it rest for about 30 minutes before pouring into the hot fat. It bakes while the roast rests.

@Cameron:
Pretty close to peak Hendrix right there.

@divF: I played clarinet in a community orchestra one summer, in Pomona, CA. The director had us sight-read all of the music we’d be performing, just once through, then we walked onto the stage in White Park and gave a concert. It was exhilarating and sometimes terrifying: the music wasn’t easy.
Leroy Anderson was the theme that summer, so we played the Typewriter Song, Sleigh Ride (in July), The Syncopated Clock, and other delights. We also tackled “In a Persian Market” by Albert Ketelbey, and “Tribute to Troy” by Ronald Broadwell. That last piece was challenging, IIRC.
HumboldtBlue
It’s late, yeah, but I just did some prep cooking and played Four Seasons (Vivaldi, not Four Treasons, Trump Motel) and I got done cooking before the music ended.
I must listen to the end, yeah? That’s a rule, right?
You can’t just stop at mid-autumn?

Used to be a locally produced cooking show on Minneapolis-St. Paul TV hosted by a granny known as Mama D. Her four seasons were so frequently mentioned that she abbreviated them as SPOG.

@?BillinGlendaleCA: Screw them, file the report, You’ll need one for an insurance claim anyway. They don’t deserve the consideration.
WaterGirl
@Old Dan and Little Ann: My niece has a trampoline just like that in her back yard, and the two dogs are always on there with the kids. They love it! It’s a joy to see.
opiejeanne
@eclare: It’s beautiful, but still not organized. We need to add some shelving for smaller things, and the power isn’t hooked up yet but I’m not sure we want to run a heater. We installed two small solar panels to run two fans under the automatic vents. The vents are opened and closed with a beeswax canister with a piston inserted. As the temp rises, the beeswax expands and pushes the piston out, to raise the vent panel, and when it cools down it reverses the action.
