You have to be able to document your tax filings and payroll which imagine would've been uncomfortable.

Also gonna go ahead and call shenanigans on the idea that he and his employees make 7million a year, as a 1.2m PPP would imply.

UPDATE: In a post from Turning Point USA COO Tyler Bowyer, Bowyer contradicts @charliekirk11 and admits the organization DID in fact apply for the PPP loan, despite Kirk previously saying it "woud be in violation of our beliefs at Turning Point USA."https://t.co/PLYlDP2u9u

Dear Mr. Musk,
People come to this country in expectation of a better life.
Please notice the “life” part.
Thank you.
debbie
It’s long past time to cull the assholes.
Anya
I am old enough to remember when these monsters were yelling about “death panels” because the ACA required Medicare to pay if enrollees wanted to have conversations with their doctors about “advance directives” and now they want sacrifice grandma for “the economy”.
Jay Noble
TPUSA – In order to reject $1.2 million you had to have at least had an expectation of getting $1.2 million if not having it already in hand. Somebody woke up to the scrutiny that is coming out of the PPP.
NotMax
@debbie
There’s a place for assholes.
In the rear, not out front.

Happy 4/30, everybody…

Well, that’s a helluva nightcap, Anne.
West of the Cascades
Elon Musk will be a hard one when it comes time to assign places in the tumbrels – should he be in the low-triple digit carts for the guillotine, or simply crammed into a spacecraft and fired into the Sun?
West of the Cascades
@Anya: skip the “death panels” and go straight to “death.”
West of the Rockies
I dig Space X launch videos. I really dislike Musk. What a pissant.

@NotMax: You think Diaper Dandy Kirk is bad then along comes Elon Musk. Imprisoned in their homes? WTF. He’s delusional.

THAT’S Musk? Eewwwww.

Just tuning in to the beginning of Across 110th Street (1972) on TCM to catch the great theme song by Bobby Womack. Movie is actually pretty good for the blaxploitation genre.
Oops, forgot that the opening-credits mix sucks. Better version here.

“Our constitution is great, but it doesn’t necessarily give us the right to commit suicide, okay?” – Donald Trump July 2016.

Why can’t Elon Musk be like an old fashioned drug-addled eccentric billionaire designer of impractical transportation and instead be so paranoid about germs that he self-isolates in a hotel penthouse?

That’s the great thing about opinions. They require no explanation, can be based on nothing.

Ben Shapiro is an idiot. The average life expectancy of an 81-year-old American woman is about 9 years, not “she should have died last year” as his words would imply.
Dying at 81 is not necessarily tragic, nor is it necessarily terrible. But if Grandma’s death is caused by, say, irresponsible policies of the president, her state’s governor, or just an irresponsible neighbor who thinks there are only rights and no responsibilities associated with citizenship, then her death is, indeed, tragic and if it is from COVID-19, then it is almost certainly terrible.
Shapiro seems to think that an 80-year-old has ten minutes to live and an 81-year-old should have died last year. But, then, he’s a Republican, so idiocy is required!

@Viva BrisVegas:
Today’s Republicans have made it clear that the Constitution is not only a suicide pact, it is also a murder-suicide pact.

Musk is just pissed because this was supposed to be Tesla’a breakthrough year – showing positive cash flow and the first signs of profitability, new factories on line, etc. And now he’ll have to suck it up like everyone else. Oh well.

@Boris Rasputin (the evil twin): If you have a valid photo id in most places, you can vote. My son can’t drive but he has a valid photo id that he can use in place of a driver’s license. He can’t vote either because of the plenary guardianship.
