Ordinarily I’d recommend salting the area and then a good soak in oxygen bleach, but in this case I fear the entire garment is already utterly ruined.

Look at the language of the Chinese Consulate in Houston — demanding The [Houston] Rockets “take immediate concrete measures to eliminate the adverse impact.” No other way to read it than an authoritarian state demanding an American be fired for supporting a protest movement.

The Highlander TV series (1992-98) with Adrian Paul was actually pretty good, in a louche, late-night way. Workmanlike production values and interesting scenery (Vancouver, Canada, and sometimes France). The plots moved along and the acting was okay. The show didn’t take itself too seriously (which I think the movies did?). And lots of interesting actors that you hadn’t seen everywhere else.
Being reminded of it makes me wonder if it’s available on one of the streaming services. Hmm, will look.
that was a stupid thing to say and I never thought of him as stupid
That’s interesting, Barbara. I’ve always thought of him as stupid, from the first time I actually saw him speak on the one episode I ever saw of The Apprentice. I found that show absolutely revolting and nothing what it claimed to be, and Trump was a clown who obviously wouldn’t be able to personally do any of he was “firing” people for. Thinking that he’s stupid hasn’t really led me astray yet.
Our little group had dozens of running jokes about that show, one of which was that he had invested a goodly part of his wealth in owning abandoned warehouses. Wherever he was, sooner or later he would end up battling in an empty warehouse.
Also much ribald speculation as to where it was he kept that suddenly at the ready sword when it was out of sight.

@Villago Delenda Est: You mean Saddam didn’t 9/11 us?! Next you’ll say none of the hijackers was Iraqi!
Have you seen it on any of the streaming services?
I think part of its charm way back then was that it came on late at night on one of the lesser channels—equivalent to the CW or the WB—so you knew not to expect too much. And then it regularly exceeded those slight expectations. But, yeah, there were a lot of abandoned warehouses. Also a houseboat? Memory is fuzzy.
Just checked the search function on the Roku, which informs that season one through six are on prime.
The boat was introduced in the later seasons, IIRC. A canal barge fitted out as a different flavor of houseboat.

@Steeplejack:I agree wholeheartedly with your take on the Adrian Paul Highlander tv series. Better than the movies, for sure.
And Paul’s Highlander character had a houseboat on the Seine as his home base, the cool factor of that alone made it worth watching for me (such a home base being a strong fantasy/dream of mine, loving Paris as I do after several trips over the years to that wonderful city).
@Gin & Tonic: A beautiful picture of a beautiful mountain. I have climbed Sneffels four times. Now in my 70th decade, I still hope to at least drive up into Yankee Boy Basin behind it one more time afore I go.
It was a (small but noticeable) cut above some of the other dreck that showed up during that time, when there were a spate of similar late-night syndicated shows.
For example, Conan was irredeemably dreadful in every aspect (his sword was taller than he was!), Sinbad was laughably, wincingly awful (we surmised the dictate on set was was that no one was allowed to act better than the lead did, who couldn’t act his way out of a dripping wet paper bag).
@Steeplejack: Yep, the guest stars really made the show. Roger Daltry’s recurring character was great, and I think a couple other musicians showed up from time to time, which was fun to see.
