Gaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. O/T – Sorry, I have to vent a moment.
Hit the grocery on the way home. As I’m finishing checkout and leaving, a soldier in uniform is exiting a couple registers closer to the door. As we both approach the door, one of the kids bagging turns and hits him with the “thank you for your service” line. Dude acknowledges him, then as we hit the inner doors he stops ahead of me and turns to talk with the kid. Thanks him for the recognition, says not enough people do that. Says “they should, but they don’t”. I fucking damn near snapped a gear at that. I just ground my teeth and kept moving around him, because if I vocalized the shit that started brewing in my head at that sense of entitlement, it would not have been pretty. Maybe I’m out of line, but the sense that he felt entitled to being thanked for his own life choices just blew my fucking mind. And to believe that most people not in the service owed him that recognition?

I think Pelosi is working with all the senior committee chairmen and chairwomen to pull their individual investigations together, to keep gathering evidence and hearing testimony regarding Trump’s many criminal and “High Crimes and Misdemeanors” prior to starting an actual formal Impeachment Inquiry.
I expect that formal Inquiry won’t start until late winter or even next summer, with plans to bring it to a floor vote around mid-October or so. Hopefully denying Turtle McConnel a chance to vote on exoneration very long before the election. Or, depending upon how the hearings go and the polls, maybe giving McConnell and his minions a chance to join hands with president Trump, sinking beneath the waves of freedom.

Radical change is needed. Torches need to be passed to those far younger than myself (I’m 50). And finally, the centerist dem club of BJ need to start listening more, while torpedoing those who will likely have to live through the long term consequences of our inaction a flipping whole lot less.
Yes, there will also be consequences for our (in some peoples opinion ‘hasty’) action too. I’m getting more comfortable with that latter set with every passing day. That said, I hope the latest dem dustup is in the books and we can unite a bit more against the common enemy.
