Floriduh! Man: Head Out on the Highway Edition

We’ve got actual documentary footage from Steve in the ATL’s recent trip to Florida!!!

The temperature drops into the mid 50s for a couple of days and everyone breaks out the furs.

Actually Steve in the ATL emailed me this link to Buzzfeed‘s annual 40 Most Insane Things to Happen in Florida in 2018 article. If you click through you might notice that I covered at least 15 of those here as Floriduh! Man or Woman posts.

Remember motorcycles are everywhere…

    @A Ghost To Most: The President can barely handle steps, stairs, water bottles, umbrellas, and can’t walk more than 300 feet without having to use a golf cart. There is no way he’s going to be able to balance a motorcycle.

    Anyone who watched him weave all over that damn red carpet walkway today at G20, side to side, knows he’s about to topple over like a weeble wobble at any moment. That truly tiny little man who greeted him near the entrance to the building kept bouncing off him because Trump couldn’t lumber along in a straight line.

    I alluded to this FloriDUH Woman in one of Betty C’s posts a day or two ago.

    TL;DR version: Woman in line at a Broward County Dollar Store cuts a noisy fart; dude next to her starts yelling; chick pulls a knife on him the end

  10. 10
    Adam L Silverman says:

    @Corner Stone: I was really worried he was going to fall over and crush that little guy.

    @SiubhanDuinne: BettyC and I were confabbing about that one several days ago. I decided not to post it as I didn’t want to seem like I was mangasplaining. Manflatusplaining? Manfartsplaining?

  14. 14
    Adam L Silverman says:

    @zhena gogolia: This isn’t going to end well, but the live blogging from the emergency room is going to be hysterical. Sad, but hysterical.

    Evening BJ.

    Hope everyone had a good week. It’s a work weekend for me, but I’m excited for Monday. Aside from the family drama (sigh still waiting on word from my aunt’s sister and immediate family about her services), I was looking forward to the family trip to LA next weekend…but that was cancelled just to ease my mind about being available for my aunt’s service.

    But even as I was sad snot cancelling the weekend trip…I’m still make it to LA for a short rip next week, Mon-Wed. Guess who got a studio audience ticket for the Tuesday taping of Will and Grace…ME!!!

    I’m already planning to get there early as possible…so I can be one of the first in line so I can get into the studio audience!

    Course If I don’t make it into the taping for some reason…IMA be pissed!

    Right now though, only happy thoughts…

    I’m going see Will & Grace ya’ll!!!

    it’s a tight schedule. Flying into Burbank Monday evening after I leave work. Will & Grace taping check in 1:30pm…show taping 2:30-5:30 (but could be longer, depending on ad-libs) then fly back to NOLA 9am Wednesday.

    @Adam L Silverman:

    This was the response from the right wing Spectator.

    “Any woman with anything upstairs knows you don’t win a debate with your boobs hanging out.”

    Accompanied by a cropped picture of her bust.

    There is no educating or accommodating these right wing turds.

    The politics of it are that she is Greens senator and the far right wing loonies associated with the government have been making vile verbal attacks on her in parliament in the most offensive manner possible for several years now.

    Also she is a woman and the Liberal government has been showing such contempt for women that they are now abandoning the Liberal Party.

  34. 34
    Steve in the ATL says:

    @Gin & Tonic: true, that’s mostly Dade County

  35. 35
    Adam L Silverman says:

    @Gin & Tonic: Apparently. I understand the Secret Service tactical guys that show up as the advance team to secure everything. They all dress like this. But why the Broward Sheriff’s Office felt the need to go full tactical as part of the local plus up for the VP’s detail I do not know. Nor do I understand it.

    opiejeanne says:

    @Adam L Silverman: have you seen the story that’s being pushed claiming Bill Clinton was at some of those parties with underage girls hosted by the creep in Florida? Along with Dershowitz?

    Please tell me this is just a smear campaign. The guy pushing it seems to be a Bernie Bro, but yesterday Bob Schooley was buying it.

  39. 39
    Adam L Silverman says:

    @Corner Stone: I have no idea why they chose that font. I’m sure whomever is the actual person/persons pushing the Q crap has their own reason for it and its an in joke, so to speak.

    NotMax says:

    @Adam L. Silverman

    Cop cosplay.

    @Adam L. Silverman

    Floriduh is also a “mark your ground” state? Who knew?

  41. 41
    Adam L Silverman says:

    @opiejeanne: There is documentation that President Clinton was, at least, acquaintances with Epstein. There is also documentation that he traveled on Epstein’s jet several times. As for Dershowitz, he helped defend Epstein, was friendly with Epstein, and there are accusations, some more credible than others, that he was involved with the underage girls that Epstein was notorious for exploiting.

  42. 42
    Yarrow says:

    @opiejeanne: That story has been bubbling under the surface for years.

  43. 43
    Adam L Silverman says:

    @NotMax: Anyone in Florida that has had to urinate because there are no public restrooms in the state, aside from at the rest stops on the interstate.

  44. 44
    Corner Stone says:

    @opiejeanne: I have my ins and outs with Bill Clinton. Still think he’s one of the best natural politicians of my lifetime. But, on the whole, the world probably would have been better off if he had farced out eating french fries at some point during HRC’s term as SecState.

  45. 45
    Gin & Tonic says:

    @Corner Stone:

    I have my ins and outs with Bill Clinton

    I din’t know he batted for the other team as well.

  46. 46
    NotMax says:

    @Corner Stone

    Might be a misdemeanor to say in and out in any form while eating Five Guys fare.

  47. 47
    TomatoQueen says:

    @Adam L Silverman: I’m suddenly remembering a lengthy Epstein piece, some years ago, possibly in Vanity Fair, featuring rumors of highly connected male persons, but mostly starring Prince Andrew and a lot of small black and white photos. Daily Mail (eww)? It was vile.

  48. 48
    opiejeanne says:

    @Adam L Silverman: Yes, I know that Clinton knows Epstein, and I knew about about Dershowitz being accused of being on the “Lolita Express” as it was phrased, but Bill Clinton with underage girls? This is the first I’ve heard of that and I don’t believe it, don’t want to believe it. It looks like an attack on the Clintons because she isn’t dead and could possibly run again in 2020. Even though she said she wouldn’t.

    One of the guys on that short thread referred to Bill as a sexual predator, which is why I think the whole thing stinks of rat-fucking.

  49. 49
    opiejeanne says:

    @Yarrow: Which bit? That Bill Clinton was screwing underage girls at Epstein’s parties?

  50. 50
    Corner Stone says:

    @Gin & Tonic: Then you never saw the Family Guy episode where Bill smooth talks both Peter and Lois into the sack.

  51. 51
    Adam L Silverman says:

    @TomatoQueen: I know that The New Yorker did a long expose on him a while back. I think Gawker did a deep dive at some point to. What the Miami Herald did was excellent, long form reporting, but this is not a new story. Hopefully between the Herald’s reporting and the lawsuits, some justice will finally be done.

  52. 52
    Steve in the ATL says:

    @opiejeanne: correct on all counts. Bill had no need to be a predator, unlike a bunch of creepy AF guys in the other party.

  53. 53
    Adam L Silverman says:

    @opiejeanne: The rumors about President Clinton being at one or more of Epstein’s parties have been around since the 1990s. I’ve never seen anything that corroborates them, but I’ve also never seen anything that conclusively knocks them down either. I’d like to believe that despite President Clinton’s appetites, that he had the self control not to involve himself with this. And I’d also think that given that he’d be traveling with Secret Service escorts that it would be unlikely to happen.

  54. 54
    Corner Stone says:

    @Adam L Silverman:

    he’d be traveling with Secret Service escorts

    No wonder Trump wanted to be President!

  55. 55
    Yarrow says:

    @opiejeanne: Yes, that he might have been doing that. As Adam noted, the rumors have been around a long time.

    @Adam L Silverman: There are stories about the Secret Service as well, so who knows what those guys might or might not do.

  56. 56
    Adam L Silverman says:

    @Yarrow: I have no idea how the security details for senior officials actually work.

  57. 57
    opiejeanne says:

    @Adam L Silverman: Thanks. The guy pushing this is named David Klion on twitter. He keeps posting that we need to know what the real Clintons are like, and that Clintonworld is bad.
    Several people in one thread told him to leave Hillary out of it.

  58. 58
    Corner Stone says:

    There are stories about the Secret Service as well, so who knows what those guys might or might not do.

    I know when I’m going to get in to a sketchy situation with questionable outcomes, I’m always like, “The more the merrier. And also 24 people can keep a secret if 23 are dead.”
    The crazy shit the SS did during Obama’s term, like hookers in Colombia, came out immediately. It’s 30 years and no one can say what WJC got up to. Seems odd.

  59. 59
    Viva BrisVegas says:

    @Adam L Silverman:

    Also it’s to detract from the fact that Trump was likely far more involved in Epstein’s crimes.

    At least some of the victims were procured from Mar-a-Lago.

    Trump quote:

    “I’ve known Jeff for fifteen years. Terrific guy,” Trump booms from a speakerphone. “He’s a lot of fun to be with. It is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side. No doubt about it — Jeffrey enjoys his social life.”

    I would bet actual cash that Trump and Epstein partied together.

    I would not make that bet about Clinton.

    Trump was on the witness list for Epstein’s trial, but US Attorney Alexander Acosta (now Trump’s Secretary of Labor) gave Epstein a remarkably lenient deal which included Trump no longer having to give evidence.

    Epstein’s legal team included Dershowitz and Ken Starr.

    Read this and not get angry.

  60. 60
    Yarrow says:

    @Adam L Silverman: I was thinking of stories like this one.

  61. 61
    Adam L Silverman says:

    @opiejeanne: If Klion is who I think he is, he’s sort of a freelance journalist these days. Secretary Clinton should definitely be left out of this. But, unfortunately, after 30 plus year of information and psychological warfare, whatever President Clinton may or may not have done is immediately determined to either be something that Secretary Clinton planned, orchestrated, covered up, and/or is otherwise responsible for.

  62. 62
    Yarrow says:

    @Adam L Silverman: Or should have done something about, even if she didn’t know about it. And if she didn’t know about it, why wasn’t she paying attention? And he wouldn’t have done those things if she had been more attentive to his needs. Etc.

    @Corner Stone:

    It’s 30 years and no one can say what WJC got up to. Seems odd.

    Odd in what way?

  63. 63
    Adam L Silverman says:

    @Viva BrisVegas: I read the article shortly after it came out and had a pretty decent understanding of the overall history of Epstein and his sweetheart deal for a long time. Other than the attempt to tie President Clinton to Epstein’s crimes, none of Clinton’s sexual improprieties, his affairs and even the retracted accusation of rape, are all of women who are clearly of age. Also, there appears to be a type and that type isn’t body of a teenage girl. The current president, however, has admitted he’s entered the changing room to check out the teenage contestants of his Ms. Teen USA pageants. Has a long history of making inappropriate statements about young women, including teenagers. That isn’t evidence he’s had sex with underage young girls, but it is more of a pattern than anything we know about with President Clinton.

  64. 64
    NotMax says:

    Bulletin: G.H.W. Bush dead at 94.

  65. 65
    danielx says:

    @Viva BrisVegas:

    Read it already. Additional evidence, as though it were needed, that the phrase “equal justice under the law” is more of a bad joke than ever before. If Epstein wasn’t a billionaire, he would be locked up someplace where sunlight would have to be piped in.

  66. 66
    Ruckus says:

    @zhena gogolia:
    I’ve heard the congresswoman speak live. She does not take crap from anyone. And I appreciated that she did not give a damn that she was speaking in public over a large, loud, speaker system, and used her adult words. You know the one’s I practiced in the navy.

  67. 67

    @NotMax: Let’s see how Trump screws this up. Maybe “I was doing good at the G-20 until he died & took the spotlight off me.”

  68. 68
    Ruckus says:

    @Viva BrisVegas:
    So really, they are about as smart as our conservative assholes.
    I wonder what they will do if enough people get pissed and vote them out. Or are they like conservative politicians here and have far more than enough going on the outside that the job is about the power and the money is actually not a concern at all.

  69. 69

    @danielx: T.A.N.J.: There ain’t no justice.

  70. 70
    Adam L Silverman says:

    @Yarrow: I was tracking.

  71. 71
    Viva BrisVegas says:

    The polls are running 45-55 in the opposition Labor Party’s favour at the moment.

    In our electoral system that is landslide territory.

  72. 72
    Adam L Silverman says:

    @Viva BrisVegas: Good! We’re keeping good thoughts for you all in the election. Now if only a newly elected Labor government would be willing to do some Murdoch nut cutting, you might be able to make some progress.

  73. 73
    Ruckus says:

    Let’s be honest here. Bill is not the best example of how to be a good male role model. We may like his politics and there is good there, but he is male and he does like the ladies and has poor judgement on appropriate behavior. I’m not saying he was there with the underaged and the sleazy JE, but I’m also not saying he wasn’t, nor that he’s guilty of anything you can think of, or don’t want to think of. But I’m also not saying it’s impossible.

  74. 74
    Ruckus says:

    I would also say that a number of good points have been made, like if he had been involved that over 30 yrs have gone by and nothing. Given the massive amount of crap the Clintons have had to endure over that time, one would imagine that something would have been said/used/or at least lied about. But? Crickets. H/T @Corner Stone:

  75. 75
    Ruckus says:

    @Viva BrisVegas:
    Good luck with that.
    Don’t forget to kick them when they are down. You know they’d do the same.

  76. 76
    joel hanes says:

    I saw the accusation during the campaign, and researched it. As nearly as I could tell then:

    Epstein had many many parties of varying natures, with many many attendees who are public figures.
    Only a minority of those parties were the “special” ones.

    Not one of the women who were abused by Epstein and Co and who have come forward have alleged that Bill Clinton was present at one of the “special” parties, nor has anyone else claimed to be a witness. Until such a claim is made, this is all a smear campaign and guilt by association.
    Nor has anyone ever tied the dates of WJC’s visits to the date of one of the “special” parties.

    Also I note that some of the people who are pushing this have been guilty in the past of vile politically-motivated false accusations

    I don’t know if Bill did such a thing; my estimate of his character is not the highest but is several notches above organized bunga-bunga with non-adults, but maybe I’m wrong. Clearly his character is low enough that he was willing to associate with rich scum like Epstein, and that’s a mark against him.

    But as yet there is not one witness claim nor any evidence beyond this :
    – WJC several times rode in Epstein’s jet to attend some event at Epstein’s place

    ETA: Another person who is known to have gone to some of Epstein’s parties is Donald Trump.

    sukabi says:

    @Adam L Silverman: with as much grief as the Clinton’s have gotten over the last 30 years if there was even a smidgen of proof that either one of them were involved in anything remotely inappropriate with minors they would have been burned at the stake.
