I often question the judgement of women, given that they sometimes marry men like me.

Exactly!!!!!
Wait, are you talking about just you, or all of us?
Damn this relationship thing is difficult. Sometimes you’re good to go and sometimes you’re good to GO!

A lovely family. What is the dog’s name?

Lovely! I like the drama and the doggie.
In other news, we have definitely adopted a kitten. Another one John found in the garage. This one is old and strong enough to make it (unlike the one we found this summer). And she is super friendly and sweet. I am not a cat person and I’m not sure how Koda and Lovey will deal with her, but we’ve sorta fallen for her. She is very loving and I know she chose us somehow. Will get a pic to TaMara when I can.

They’re a lovely couple, and the doggo is adorable. Congrats to the whole family.
Chad looks not unlike Mr. Suzanne. Good choice, Annie.

Wait a minute. She is way too cute to be your sister. No fair raiding other people’s wedding pics and trying to pass them off as your relatives.
Lovely wedding dress.
Glad everyone had a good time.

I think the dog was hoping to get a nice bow on his collar, before the official pictures were taken. Here’s hoping someone remembered to slip him some cake, under the table if necessary…
Seriously: Congratulations to the happy couple, and many happy returns!

What a sweet set of pictures!
And what a great Saturday for your family, WVU won a big game, your sister won a big game, the dog had a great time too!!
Give your sister and her family all our best wishes, John!
@geg6: Yay. Check out WereBear’s website (Way of Cats) for some great suggestions on how to introduce a new cat to the pack. Of course, that’s all gone out the window here as Gabe has made his own decisions on introductions. Zander did the same when he came and that worked out okay, so I’m not too worried.
I’m only really worried about Lovey. She’s very spoiled and assertive and full of piss and vinegar. Koda is a lover. She’ll be fine, I’m sure. Lovey is the wild card.
We haven’t named her yet. A name hasn’t seemed right yet. But she’s gray with darker stripes that will, I’m sure, get more prominent with age. What is distinctive is that she has dark coloring around her eyes like black eye liner with very dramatic swoops from the outer corner of her eyes. A real cat eye effect on a real cat. She’s a love so far.

Elizabeth ‘Cleopatra’ Taylor, Lizzie for short. Of course, she may grow up into a Taylor, and everyone will think of another celebrity, but there are worse role models…
okay i've been extremely skeptical of even the faintest notion that Taylor Swift had an effect on the Tennessee senate race but https://t.co/eL1by94xaa

The gradual, one-step-at-a-time introduction should involve ALL THE TREATS. Seriously: whatever goodie really gets Lovey’s attention — bits of chicken, chunks of hot dog, bacon bits, that overpriced boutique treat that’s full of (organic) sugar — she sees the cat & doesn’t immediately go into attack mode, she gets a little treat. The way to a dog’s heart & brain is through their stomachs; Lovely needs to start this relationship convinced that cat = I get the good stuff.
And don’t make a big fuss about the new kid while Lovey’s still getting used to her. She sniffs (suspiciously) at the cat from behind a gate, you immediately tell her she’s such a GOOD girl who deserves the BEST treats. Rain treats down like manna! Don’t even point out there’s a (potential prey target) cat over there, just pay attention to LOVEY THE WONDER DOG…
When your friends & neighbors eventually come over to admire the kitty, have them give Lovey a big hello (& of course TREATS!) before they get to see the cat, too.
Think of it as introducing a kid to her new baby sister, only both siblings are armed & dangerous.

Thanks. Nice to know more of your family.

More weddings need a dog.

Chad has less hair than me. Damn.
Did he make that decision on his own?
And your sister still married him?

How come your sister to be so pretty? Are you adopted?
