As a lifelong 49ers fan, I look forward to the Chiefs – and especially Alex Smith – utterly trashing the Steelers.
I don’t have anything against Pittsburgh, I just want to see Alex beat Aaron Rodgers in the Super Bowl.

@Kurt Montandon: That would be pretty special to have the ultimate maligned “Game Manager QB” beat the fucking Greatest Unicorn QB who ever lived in the big game.

I love it when QBs refer to players by their nicknames that we would never know about otherwise.
NFL ratings are down? The league is in trouble? Don’t want to hear it. The NFL is still king. Six boring playoff games to get to Cowboys/Packers – yet folks were still watching. How do I know? Facebook. My feed exploded during that game.
Sherlock is either on or just ending. And, from my old but vast experiences in the venues, bars are doing very good business tonight. Restaurant workers who get Sunday nights and Mondays off aren’t the majority of the patrons on a Sunday during a long weekend.

Hey you, go sleep on your new, groovy matress while you still can. (Get a water-proof matress cover stat!)
Night all!
Tomorrow we ramp up the resistance!
Yeah. And Mason coming through from outside of fifty yards twice. Yeah.
I’ve been sorta listening to the post-game show on AM 620. Not hearing too much bitching from the peanut gallery concerning the defense. I think even the dumbasses are starting to realize that a unit can be decimated by injuries.

Temporarily Max McGee (Until Death!)
And speaking of the defense, that third down stop on Dallas’ last possession was bigly.

[in my best Alec Guiness voice]: Alex Smith is not the quarterback you’re looking for.
@Mike E: Don’t say it five times in a row like the Stillers have so far.
Not a remedy for a W.

Slow game tonight. But that was a pretty dirty hit, and maybe it’s confirmation bias, but the Pittsburgh D seems to like dirty hits enough to celebrate them.

That was bullshit. What a bullshit call against KC.

Nope. That is what they do. And they never pay a price for it. They end up winning crucial games and never pay any price for killing some other opponent player.

Both of today’s games were really good football, being played at the top level. It’s hard for me to root for Raplesberger, even though he’s great at what he does on the field. But, I can’t root for KC, I have no connection to KC at all. and I like P’burgh.

What a fucking bullshit outcome this is. That was a garbage fucking holding call against KC on their two point try,
I hate the Pats but I hope they fucking destroy this garbage fucking Pittsburgh team. This was a bullshit win.
Both home teams won yesterday.
Both visiting teams won today.
Cowboys being out makes it interesting again. And CS, I’m hoping the Patriots get shit on like a treelawn, if for no other reason than to make that pissy little Marcia Brady all pouty and shit. Show the refs on the doll, indeed.
… and did I miss a rule change? Apparently there is no more pass interference penalty. It appears the safeties and cornerbacks can pick a guy’s pocket, tickle his armpit, shove an elbow in his mouth and give him a fucken handjob fer chrissakes and no flags. Maybe its high-definition replay on rapidly progressing plays that makes it easy to armchair but holy fuck I was seeing Hines-Ward-worthy shenanigans all over the place this weekend. That’s a lot of bananas.

@Corner Stone: Amen on the bullshit win. Almost to the point where I root against the Steelers as hard as I do against the Patriots…so, no matter who comes out of Foxborough next weekend, let’s go NFC!
(Packers preferred, of course)
Also: I hardly watch any regular-season ball these days, but if the playoffs are going to be this silly, then I’ll just bank those hours and wait for a Super Bowl party like most folks in America. Screw it.

I hope the cowboys lose this game too!

Ooo, ooh, me first?
