Trump tonight: “Hillary can’t fill a room.”

Per NYMag:
… Many who tried to see the presidential hopeful didn’t even get the chance, as cars full of would-be attendees lined up for blocks around the venue.
After an opening from Bon Jovi, Bruce Springsteen got the crowd gathered in front of Independence Hall on its feet, regaling them with some of his biggest hits. “The choice tomorrow couldn’t be any clearer,” Springsteen said. “Hillary’s candidacy is based on intelligence, experience, preparation, and an actual vision of America where everyone counts.”…
Michelle Obama, perhaps the biggest draw of the night, spoke proudly of her husband’s legacy, saying that “we have a duty to ensure that this country is handed over to a leader that we all can trust.”
Next up: President Obama, who showed Springsteen he’s not the only one with a catalogue of oldies to repurpose. He led the crowd in one of his most popular chants from 2008: “Fired up, ready to go!”…
Finally, it was Hillary Clinton’s turn to take the stage. She took a moment to reflect on the negativity of the campaign.
Then, looking out over the massive crowd, she called on them to “demonstrate conclusively, once and for all, that love trumps hate,” and to “get out and vote tomorrow Philadelphia. Let’s make history together.”

Anyone who claims that there is no difference between our two major parties needs a slap upside the head.
John Cole
Jesus flipping christ. I somehow managed to bigfoot you at the ass crack of dawn.
Sorry AL.

When this is all over, we should not forget that one established political party, in full knowledge of the danger this man posed and the support he is receiving from a hostile foreign nation, took us to the brink of the destruction of our nation.
We should never forget this.

Got up early to get my vote in before work. Am feeling pretty positive.

Hmmmmm…. not sure. Maybe I’ll vote, and then after work take the Spanish born wife to vote. Or maybe I’ll just go back to bed.

Waiting for polls to open here in Cincinnati, where I am serving as a poll observer.

it’s finally time to stand up and say “NO!” to Trump. If we throw enough bodies at him he will fold.
Come on America, let’s roll.

@rikyrah: Good morning! Fired up, ready to go, but I already voted and have a 10 hour workday to get through. But I’m hoping this election is decisive enough that it’s almost called by the time I can get home.

I’m voting after breakfast as the earliest my polls are open, is 8:30. I’m going to be outside waiting, and probably not the only one.
Then I’m heading into Keene (where I have a meeting to chair in the evening), and a canvasser from MoveOn just so happened to tell me where the campaign’s working. There are shifts at 10, 1PM and 4PM. I am going to be there most likely sweeping floors, shuffling papers and sorting packets all day long, before going to my meeting, and possibly coming right back after that (normally I go grocery shopping but I might just do that early so I have nothing on the agenda. There’s nothing like being in the heart of a campaign on a day like today, especially if you win.

@satby:
Boy, do I hope it’s decided tonight.
Mr. Mack
Cautiously optimistic…voted early and I can’t help this feeling of dread that seeps in no matter what I do block it out. We managed to elect a damn fine POTUS in 08 and re-elect him, despite his skin color and suspect surname. Both of his opponents were head and shoulders better qualified and better people than Hillary is facing, and that’s what has me worried. He has spent a year trying to legitimize racism and misogyny, and far too many Americans feel empowered by it. That faction, coupled with big money interests may drive record turn-out for their side. Hoping to dog I’m wrong. Is it too early to start drinking?

Planning on watching Colbert tonight with the new sweetie. Eleven weeks and counting. He’s a keeper.

We are all going together when dh home at lunch. The kids are to young to vote but they’ve come with us every year since I was carrying them in baby carriers.
Then we’ll have lunch and I’ll go canvass with MoveOn. And pray.
laura
@rikyrah: she quite a gal, isn’t she!?!
And good morning.
The Lodger
@RedDirtGirl: I hadn’t seen you around, looks like you had better things to do than post ☺ Enjoy!

Damn, Hillary’s campaign can put out a moving ad.
