Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

We can agree to disagree, but i’m right.

I can’t take this shit today. I just can’t.

I’m only here for the duck photos.

Usually wrong but never in doubt

No offense, but this thread hasn’t been about you for quite a while.

Since when do we limit our critiques to things we could do better ourselves?

Fuck these fucking interesting times.

And we’re all out of bubblegum.

Sadly, there is no cure for stupid.

Is it irresponsible to speculate? It is irresponsible not to.

The age old dilemma. What do you do when you hate both teams (Caps and Pens), and it’s no longer socially acceptable (for some reason) to root for injuries?

I hate the Caps more than the Pens, so I guess Go Pens? Celz/Hocks game should be wickad good, as long as Bahstahn plays smaht.

Good nite for sports. Also, fuck the NFL and their CTE-in-10-years recruitment…

ETA: Hawks favored in this game? WTF?

@p.a.: @LAO: Good suggestions. I think I’m going to root against the Caps, since I live in DC and have to deal with way more insufferable Caps fans than I do Pens fans.

Can someone explain the NBA to me? I used to love it. Absolute favorite sport. And now I can’t stand to watch it. It’s weird, like I want to watch it, but when I do, I’m immediately repelled by the style of play and the officiating.

That said, go Celts! Who are terrible to watch or even listen to on the radio.

Excuse me–as a DC area resident, the CAPS are our only winning team. And worse our new baseball team in nicknamed the Nats, rhyming with gnats. So you can understand why we needs the CAPS to win.

It’s professional basketball. Like Red Auerbach said, “put the ball in the hole.” You try to do that more times than your opponent does.

One of the legal secretaries in my firm is a Celtics cheerleader. It’s always fun to watch the male of the species in my office run to opine and exclaim to her their fealty to the Celtics the morning after, no matter what happens. I wonder why? hahahaha no, I don’t. Tomorrow morning will be another data point.

I lived in Coventry, next to Storrs from ’89 to ’97 raising two young girls. Those UConn girls were such huge heroes.. Rebecca Lobo, Kara Wolters, Sue Bird, Nykesha Sales, Jen Rizzotti, then Diana Taurasi who may have been the best of all, were rock stars. Everyone knew the names of all of the men and women players.
