If Trey Gowdey’s Starr Chamber hoped to ensure maximum shock!horror! by releasing HRClinton’s emails in small regular doses over a period of months, it’s worked… but mostly for the Media Village Idiots, apparently.
Clinton has 55% of possible endorsements points (if every Dem gov/sen/House endorsed) for 2016. At this point in 2008, she had 16%.

Speaking of Sidney Blumenthal, whatever his personal quirks, it should not be overlooked that his son Max is one of AIPAC’s favorite whipping boys. Which a suspicious person might think was tangtially related, considering how AIPAC feels about the Iran deal.

I don’t understand the fascination with the gefilte fish story. Trade disputes are a big part of what State is supposed to handle.
jl
I’m working on a grand theory of how the gefilte fish emails are the real key that will lead to all the HRCrimes.
By the O’Keefe outfit’s ‘continuum of scandal’ theory, every innocent looking email is part of the continuum and only adds to the indictment.
@Mike J: they are part of that suspicious ‘continuum of scandal’!
WaterGirl
@Baud: Is there a short summary of why/how all these email messages are coming out. Are they being leaked or does someone somewhere really think that all these messages should be publicly viewed for the public good?
Baud
@WaterGirl:
I don’t know the whole scoop, but I think the State Department is releasing emails in chunks after they are reviewed for classified information.

Open thread? How about the noticeable decision by Republican politicians and Fox news to start attacking “Black Lives Matter” as a hate group and blame them for cop killings.
With today’s piece by Scott Walker (in HotAir) blaming Obama for dividing the country and something something police can’t do their jobs because Obama and therefore Walker will fix it all by being a uniter not a divider.

And in other open thread stuff, Trump went to Brietbart with an exclusive to tell Jeb Bush to shut up and speak English.

And as a followup — is there an equivalent on the Democratic/liberal side that gets these exclusives from Presidential candidates or major political figures? Does DailyKos still get them, or did everyone just shrug and move away.

Reading Blumenthal’s nutball emails to Hillary, Obama was proven once again to be right when he blocked Blumenthal from working at State under Hillary.
The other clear takeaway from Hillary’s emails is the # of slimy people she surrounds herself with and the amount of asskissing she seems to need to from her aides.

What surprises me is that Republicans are comfortable with Trump’s anti-Hispanic rhetoric. I get that they’ve given up on pretending to appeal to Blacks but I don’t understand why they would chuck out the Latino vote so glibly. In my lifetime, Latinos are expected to outnumber Whites.

The thing that intrigues me (I read enough that I do know the story, I don’t really care about spoilers) is going to be watching the story go from a standard “we help the helpless” procedural in the vein of Leverage or Burn Notice into a sci-fi story edging on Terminator/Age Of Ultron territory.
