I had it in draft form and launched it a little late. France is already up 2-0.

Quite a shot the goalie took.

@Randinho: Excuses, excuses.
You were writing about humility in Brazilian football the other day. I noticed earlier that the Brazilians had the five stars of the men’s team on their jerseys. The French aren’t wearing any, the Germans have two. Don’t know about Spain or England.

@OnkelFritze:
The Lionesses play blank, the Spanish I don’t know.

Ces sont les bleues

So on artificial turf they are deploying vehicles during the intervall for the purpose of treating the surface just like they do in icehockey.
SRW1
@SteveinSC:
I’d like it better if they were Les Mariannes.
SRW1
Apparently, the French specialize in quickies.
Randinho
@SteveinSC: Noted. Will use correct form for subsequent posts as they are clearly going through.
Je no pas parle français. I plan on adding it to my other languages in the near future.
SRW1
@Randinho:
Je ne parle pas français, mais j’ai bien l’intention d’apprendre.

@SRW1: The Zamboni® ice resurfacing machine was not the only machine built by the Zamboni Company. Frank Zamboni actually developed the “Grasshopper” (a machine to roll up artificial turf); the “Astro Zamboni” (designed for Monsanto Chemical Company to vacuum water from their Astro-turf® product); and the “Striper” (a machine to remove paint stripes from Astro-Turf® so a stadium could change the stripe layouts from one sport to another, such as from baseball to football).

@raven:
But what does the resurfacing during the intervall achieve? I noticed in other games that they were watering the surface manually. Doesn’t that make it more slippery?
OnkelFritze
So it’s going to be France v. Germany on Friday.
SRW1
@OnkelFritze:
I expect trepidation on both sides.
raven
@SRW1: Probably an effort to cool it off.
SRW1
@raven:
Ah, OK.

Cheres Françaises, bien fait.
