From party planner Yutsano:
The final plan! We have a private room reserved under Balloon Juice at Indo Cafe so just ask for that. It seats 14 which I doubt we’ll go over, but if necessary their larger room is also available. Can’t wait to see folks!
Lurkers, companions, and friends always welcome.
If there are pictures you want posted afterwards, email me jpegs.

I’d love a Boston meetup, say, sometime between Feb 8 and Feb 13? Traveling for work from my home office in tiny suburban Roulette, PA…

Are you going to watch the SOTU? You guys could come up with some good drinking games.
Have a designated driver.

Google Maps says it’s a 3:10 drive from Portland, so Bob should hit the road pretty soon if he’s going to make it. I don’t know what traffic is like out there on the other side. You drive on the right side of the road, don’t you?

Who drinks on Tuesday night? You people are hard core.

I should be able to make it, at least for a while.
Tree With Water
While standing on my porch minutes ago (about 700 miles due south of Seattle), a large, unseen flock of small birds began to shrilly tweet in unison- like a symphony that suddenly swelled. I looked up and craned my neck, and sure enough circling above, in low orbit, were two hawks. You won’t see that in a city…

@EthylEster: Just say no.

@Mike J: Nah. I got caught in the power outage. Ah well. Power is back and the kitty is warm.

@Tree With Water: I have seen an eagle swoop down and catch a fish in Green Lake, inside the Seattle city limits. So there!!!
