if #Benghazi 4 were black democrats, Obama would have sent forces to save them.

racism alive and well in the WH. #Benghazi 4 were left to be brutally murdered because they were white? it's all about race, right?

Jesus Tapdancing Christ. How fucking stupid do you have to be to get to that tweet?

And if the “Benghazi 4” had been first graders, the Republicans would have yawned and scolded people for politicizing their deaths.

Brilliant.

The stupid. It burns.

If the “Benghazi 4” had been killed Stateside by a rampaging formerly-responsible gun owner, the Republicans would be blaming them for not being armed themselves, and would be conducting investigations of the video game industry.
Citizen_X
Is this…a wingnut meme now, or is it going to become one now? Are we going to have this endlessly spouted at us by idiots?
beth
@Citizen_X: Are you kidding? I bet it comes up in the new House Select Commission hearings.
SatanicPanic
Holy shit, this isn’t snark? I totally read it as snark. POE’d AGAIN!
? Martin
@Citizen_X: No, I think this is their two steps forward, one back technique to look reasonable while being crazy. Someone goes out and says “They were left to be murdered because they were white” and then guys like Graham come back and say “No, no, it wasn’t because they were white – that’s crazy. It’s because the WH doesn’t care about the lives of Americans.”
They wind up in nearly the same place and look somewhat reasonable by comparison.

OT, but seriously?
Gun Shop Cancels Sale of Smart Gun After Owner Receives Death Threats

@SatanicPanic: They scared the shit out of that guy. They showed some of his interview with Chris Hayes on the show last night and he was all gung ho and revved up to sell the gun, full of talk of liberty and free markets. Then they showed his You Tube tape stating how sorry he was and it looked like he’d been held as a prisoner for years. Very contrite.

As a WaPost commenter wrote, Raymond’s scared because he knows what whackjobs he’s dealing with. They’re his clientele.
We cannot let gun whackjobs set the policy on this. And they’re more passionate about the issue than anyone except families and loved ones of those killed or threatened by guns.

Are they selling these ‘Benghazi 4’ ribbons somewhere? I’ll need to start looking for them, right next to the ‘Support Our Troops’ ribbons that chickenhawks who backed the invasion of Iraq slapped on their cars.

It’s always projection with these wingers, always. When we get horrified by something they accuse Obama or liberals of, it’s because we need to remember that’s what they would do in the same situation.

What a contrast. Last night my old Representative Jim Oberstar died. Between him and John Blatnik northern Minnesota enjoyed over 60 years of good governance and the personal and economic growth it can bring. Truly they were giants compared to the “people” currently in charge of the house.
I can’t believe my House of Representatives is overrun with these mental midgets. Instead of the good government we have these idiots pissing and shitting in all the corners- they sure do like showing they’re in charge- too bad these Mini-Mussolinis can’t govern for shit.

This is slightly off topic but still fits with the ‘you can’t cure GOP stupid’. In addition to beating up on Obama about Benghazi, The wingers and warmongers have been complaining that he has not shown leadership in Syria. Seems they want to start another war.

1) Well, actually, I haven’t seen Obama do much of that kind of thing, even when it was warranted.

Ta-Nahisi Coates schooled this old white guy in his recent article about “elegant racism”.
It could be read by Obama at his next State of the Union address, and the country would profit from hearing it.
Admittedly, at my age it chagrins me to be taught so fundamental a lesson about the realities of race and housing. Coates did me a good turn writing it.

It would have been the Benghazi 5, but Pete Best left the band.

@Faction: Your semi humorous and very on point retort is the best way to deal with this short of just ignoring it all together. Sometimes I wonder if we spend too much time buzzing about things like this. Those who read tweets like that and take them to heart are, and have been, beyond the reach of reason.
Fuck ’em.
Instead, time and energy needs to be spent teaching about the domestic issue imperatives of helping the working poor and the middle class have better access to the activities which will help them put together a better life.
Remember it is exactly this topic that the GOP is trying to derail by bringing up Benghazi.
You (the collective you) must not help the GOP do this!

What ever happened to the Wingnut Wurlitzer’s theory that Ambassador Stevens was murdered for being gay, and therefore entirely responsible for his own gruesome death?
Did they give that theory up, on that grounds that The Kenyan Muslin would never let one of those folk die unprotected?

Just looked at his twitter feed; he and his fellow wingnuts are retweeting photos of the victims’ bodies.
Sick bastards.

Ramping up Benghazi is for Hillary but it shows they got nothin’. Now with a Fox in the background nothin’ still works because their operation just depends on repeating the outrage. The fact they are repeating fiction doesn’t matter.
It’s: 1) Outrage. 2) Goto step 1.
Very basic. No if/then variables. No end even. Shitty coders but sweet Goebels for 27% of Americans. It’s made Murdoch & Aisles rich.

Funny-strange, but the Wingnut I found yesterday was gleefully posting pictures of dead black Libyans and convicting Barackkk and Kkklinton for their deaths.

Here’s a couple of “comments” that would have been appreciated:
1) Who is this guy?
2) Why should I care what he tweets?
Lurking Canadian
I cringe to ask, but has this guy included the reasons (or at least, the excuses) he used to reach these conclusions? I mean, is it just “everybody knows Obama hates white people” or is there something specific and recent that has set him off. I only ask because even by wingnut Benghazi standards, this one seems random, and strange that it should pop up now, after benghazi’s been an “issue” for years.

Patricia Kayden
@Patrick: Preach! I don’t tweet, but that would packs a powerful punch. The hypocrisy is dizzying. What are the Dems doing to hit back at all this Benghazi nonsense?
Matt McIrvin
@Lurking Canadian: He’s been set off because the House Republicans are going full tilt on “investigating” Benghazi now.
We’ve been talking about the reasons why they’re doing that now, but I think it boils down to (1) the “repeal Obamacare” line is suddenly not working for them, and (2) attacking Obama on Benghazi also theoretically gets at Hillary Clinton, who everybody thinks is the favorite in the 2016 presidential race.
Actually, as an attack on Clinton it feels too early to me. They may be thinking they can damage her reputation enough that she doesn’t even run, leaving them running against somebody easier to beat.
jake the antisocial socialist
The wingnuts that I deal with who are fired up about Benghazi love to go into details of the alleged abuse of the corpses.
I have not dug deeply into it, but are those confirmed, or they part of the usual wingnut fever dream.
What I hear from them is rather bizarre. Per the wingnuts, the issues with the security were intentional. And the coverup
is for the involvement of his friends in the Muslim Brotherhood.
Matt McIrvin
@jake the antisocial socialist: I’m wondering if the Republicans have an endgame for this.
They may actually “win”, in the narrow sense of getting Sunday-morning media buzz to agree that Susan Rice intentionally mischaracterized the nature of the Benghazi attack and that that was some kind of coverup.
But if that’s the story, can they continue to dog-whistle to the wingnuts that they really proved Obama is a Muslim Brotherhood stooge and was in on the attack plot? Or will the conspiracists turn on them when they don’t go that far?
