First, Academy Award-winning rapper (for this lovely diddy) Juicy J tweets out that he’s giving a $50,000 scholarship to “the best chick who can twerk.” Then he gives the scholarship to a very deserving lady, Zaire Holmes, a 19-year old mother and full-time student, whose submission video was twerk-free.
According to the rules/fine print, you didn’t need to “twerk” to win. And that’s fine. But then, the rapper said he “didn’t want to waste it on some chick just shaking her ass.” So now you’re shaming ladies for dancing when you asked them to dance? In a society that already throws an immense amount of critique at women of color the “Hard Out Here for a Pimp” rapper decides to drop some respectability politics on everyone’s lap.
Irony: It’s not just for Republicans yelling about discrimination anymore.
On today’s show #TeamBlackness also discusses the cost of being a celebrity, the disparity of wealth by NYC subway stop, and the overall evilness of humanity.

A smart woman read the rules and won.
If the rest of them clowned and showed their azzes -= LITERALLY – that’s on them.
Nobody forced them too.
Joe
Agreed. I can’t object to this.

I’m with TWIB. He sounds like that white asshole who was throwing dollars at a protester in a wheelchair, or like Roger Ailes’ playbook of harping on traditional values while forcing the women in his employ to show their bodies off whether they liked it or not.
Men use economic control to force women into sexual behavior they may or may not have sought out or desired on their own, then turn around and ridicule, mock, and shame them for behaving as they’ve been conditioned to do. There is a lesson in there for everyone about READING THE FUCKING INSTRUCTIONS wow a lot of people get nowhere in life messing THAT up, but, in general, no love for this stunt.
When women express their own sexuality, they’re “freaks”. When they mold themselves into what men want/demand, they’re below contempt. I guess the only way out is to be a B.I.T.C.H. and not care who knows it.

What an asshole.

Read the rules.
If Lucifer were to actually exist, he’d make a killing these days.
Click to accepts rules…how many people click and accept blindly?

Juicy J’s very existence (and prominence) is enough to shame this black woman. So mission accomplished buddy!
