Yeesh. Why did I wade threw DKOS comments? Why? Apparently Dems are done in 2014, Obama only wants the approval of Republicans, African Americans are finally waking up to the disappointment of Obama and will turn against him, all is lost, no gun control measures are Obama’s fault, and Reids (this point, on Reid and filibuster, I agree with partially) and we’ll all soon be eating cat food.

Amazing how people pin the blame squarely on Obama and Dems and nothing on Republicans. It’s not even that criticism of Obama or Dems isn’t warranted but damn folks, how about some focus on Republicans within 18,000 diary entries and front pagers?

At the end of the day, everything I read today was what was supposed to happen in 2012. Why the hell can’t Dems ever take a ass whooping and keep going. Why the fuck do we always have to turn into an bunch of crybabies screaming purity and looking for other Dems/Liberals/Progressives to blame solely and squarely?

You may think that a Blackhawk, being a raptor, is a tougher bird than a Penguin. But a Penguin’s flipper wings are scary strong and tough, and it will slap the living shit out of a Blackhawk, and then kick it off the ice into the waiting mouth of a hungry Leopard Seal (I think they’re joining the league next year.)

    Just sayin.

Sanford Sons Met His Girlfriend at Victory Party

The Washington Post has learned that tensions within former South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford’s (R) family “flared up as recently as April 2, at the celebration of Sanford’s runoff election victory when the former governor thrust two of his sons on-stage with the Argentine woman who was at the center of the spectacular sex scandal that broke up his marriage.”

It was the first time Sanford’s teenage son Bolton he had ever been in the presence of Maria Belen Chapur.
Jenny Sanford confirmed: “That was indeed Bolton’s first intro and both boys were quite upset and visibly so.”

Yesterday marked the 6 year anniversary of the Virginia Tech shootings. I was with my boss, having lunch, when the news broke. Later that evening, after driving nonstop from Pennsylvania to Virginia, he learned that his son was one of the students who was killed while heroically barricading the door to the classroom so that his classmates could escape.

And then today’s US Senate shit-show happened. I’m really done with this week, you guys.

How Jenny Sanford Sabotaged Mark’s Comeback

“Indeed, while Jenny has never come out and publicly opposed Mark’s congressional candidacy — choosing to remain officially neutral — she’s waged a brutally effective passive-aggressive campaign against it. Whether it was revealing to me that Mark had shamelessly asked her to manage his election bid; or telling the Washington Post that, until the night Mark’s fiancée showed up onstage at his victory party in April, one of her sons had never met the woman; or just generally making it known that she is furious that he’s running, Jenny has done a masterful job of keeping her ex-husband’s past (and not-so-past) transgressions in the news. She has seeded the ground with political land mines, stood back, and waited for Mark to step on one.”

Didn’t Sanford ask her to run his campaign? The man is amazingly tone deaf, not just to his wife and family, but the voting public in general. It’s one think to have an affair and repent, but I never thought Evangelicals would go for a dude and his mistress now wife as their Representative.
