Watching Bob Woodward on Fox. His family should put him down. It’s the humane thing to do. He had a lot of good years.
Even Sean Hannity doesn’t seem to want to have go along with the “threat” stuff.
Update. I started writing this before mistermix’s appeared. Sowwy

And STOMP goes the DougJ on poor mixie.

Hah! Woodward waffled and backpedaled throughout the interview with Hannity. He was spoon fed the opportunity to call Obama and the White House liars and ran the other way.
His goose is cooked.
kc
Just switched to that, and boy, does he sound pathetic.
I see Ann Coulter will be up later to tell us more about how this power-crazed White House operates. Please, Jesus, let Woodward and Coulter appear together on Hannity …
zadig
I’m torn here. On the one hand, Woodward is nuts and has no credibility on this. On the other hand, I don’t want to be on the same side of anything as Hannity. Honestly, I would step blindly into the road if Hannity said it was a good idea to look both ways.
But Woodward should be quiet now. Although saying his family should put him down sounds like a threat, so his whinging will no doubt increase. Nice job.
kc
Holy hell, Woodward is sucking up to Hannity!

I don’t know whether to laugh or throw up …

Hannity’s ratings are going to rise cuz both Doug and Mister are watching. So is the interview over?
JPL
@kc: For those of us who do not have cable, holy hell is not much of a description.

I ain’t watching no Hannity. Woodward has finally read one too many of his own press clippings and got played by the Obama WH. The republicans got played as well for going along with a sequester with a trigger to cut their main cash cow, the pentagon. Hubris in the the time of political cholera on the right, replete with the ricochet of bullshit off the walls of the reinforced echo chamber they built around themselves.
That told themselves they had Obama where they wanted him, and the boy would play ball because he was in over his head. Funny thing that, and now the nutters are snared in their own trap. With a comical Woodward going supernova for the wingnut cause, and blowing up his legend in three fucking days. I loathe heroes in politics, whatever side they are on. And it’s well past time that the hack journalist that got one big story, falls flat on his fuggily face.
mistermix
@Yutsano: I didn’t see that DougJ was writing something, sorry about that.
kc
@JPL:
Woodward just literally got on his knees and …KIDDING! But not much. Woodward was saying that other ppl said he was crazy for appearing on Hannity, but at least Hannity will talk him freely and do forth and FIRST AMENDMENT!
Redshirt
Even the LIBERAL Bob Woodward loves Hannity and hates Obama? Told you, people!
kc
@Mandalay:
I dunno, didn’t see the whole thing but it looked like Woodward was kind of doubling down there at the end.
Full Metal Wingnut
@Yutsano: Indeed. I swear, some of the FPers either don’t pay attention or have it out for each other.
kc
@kc:
LET him talk freely, SO forth. Shit.
Tequila + iPhone, sorry.

It appears that both Doug and Mister have decided to turn off Fox so I’ll have to assume that Ann said something offensive and is now unbuttoning Sean’s shirt.

Now see, kids, that’s how you make an apology.
Suffern ACE
@kc: really? What, did that liberal Wolf Blitzer last night, joe Scarborough yesterday morning, the politico guys in the afternoon shut him up?

@SiubhanDuinne:
Those look more like threats to me . . .

Please proceed, Villagers.

I’m totally and completely against bullying. It’s terrible and no one should ever do it.
But I really want to bully Woodward and then I want to just punch Hannity. I wouldn’t even engage in the bully foreplay with that asshole. Just straight to the violence.
Doug Galt
@BGinCHI:
I have nothing much against Hannity. He admits an opinion show.
BGinCHI
@Doug Galt: I think your Zoloft prescription needs to be dialed in.
ETA: Wait, you’re trying for Pope, aren’t you.

@DCLaw1: yep. Now if only someone would revisit how in inaccurate his books have been, we can proceed to get them off the shelves of libraries, where future children might read them for term paper research.

What the hell happened to Woodward?
He was one of the guys who broke the Watergate story. And now, he’s descended to this. From journalistic Mount Olympus to the equivalent of dumpster-diving.

@mclaren:
The Mythology of Woodward and Bernstein would lead you to believe that Bob Woodward was a super-journalist and that it was his and Bernstein’s awesome journalism skills that led to the whole Watergate scandal being broken.
In fact as time has passed it appears that what allowed the Watergate scandal to be broken was mostly because when Mark Felt went looking for someone to pass his story onto, he remembered his old friend Bob Woodward from the days when Woodward was working as an assistant to the Chair of the Joint Chiefs of Staff at the Pentagon.
So really – knowing now who “Deep Throat” was back in the day and why he went to Woodward, it isn’t surprising at all that Woodward is a “journalist” who prizes access among insiders more than anything else – that access MADE his career. And he was ALREADY an insider to start with before he hit gold.
(I still contend that the only reason Woodward was able to write that story was because the DC elites hated Nixon as much as they hated Clinton later. For precisely the same reasons too – not because of anything either man believed in or stood for, but because both came from outside the Beltway social circle and were the “wrong kind of people”. Had Nixon been a “glamourous” movie actor like Reagan or an insider like LBJ or Bush the Elder, a story like Watergate would never have been written.)
