Go Dennis.
Napoleon
My bro reports heavy turnout at our polling place here in Ohio this morn.
Punchy
My votes been gotten. Its currently being lost and likely deleted by Mr. Scumdouche himself, Kris KKKobach and his ilk, but I made the attempt nonetheless…

Done. Voted at 7:15 and there were maybe 20 people in line. My ballot was #46. We’ll have a big turnout. Our small suburb, populated by older, mostly educated, largely Jewish and overwhelmingly Democratic people typically turns out 82% – 86% for Presidential elections.

@Punchy: Lose the fucking cynicism, dood or doodette, at least for a day. Stop fucking demeaning your own vote.

My polling place is right next door at the fire station. So far, traffic has looked about normal for early morning election days.
I’m going to go to Starbucks with John in a while (mmmmm, the pumpkin bread there is divine). We’ll vote on our way back home. Then I’m off to OFA in Aliquippa for GOTV from noon to 4.

Officer, please, for God’s sake, they’re looting the Food King!
Only a truly mean and vile person would contemplate doing such a thing.
dr. bloor
Mr. Bogg has some suggestions for those of us who want to make sure those votes get cast.

We should have a pool on when BJ crashes from the server overload.
Sir Nose'D
Yo Dennis!
A big shout out from north side–937 is in ‘da house!
NotMax
Lucky that my polling place is within walking distance, as the road directly in front of its entrance is totally torn up and sprinkled with detours, with major reconstruction going on for over a month now.
Cassidy
I voted early and my FB people, mostly liberal, have done the same. It’s raining here today in Duval and Clay counties, but it doesn’t seem to be dampening the vote. Considering how red these two areas are, if the rain does suppress any voting, it’s likely to be against Romney.
Valdivia
voting in a bit, then have to be at the vet hospital and then more hospital appts later in the day so no GOTV from me. Thank you all for pulling us into four more years.
RossInDetroit, Rational Subjectivist
FYI data point: my polling place is staffed by three of the oldest people in our overwhelmingly geriatric town. They have super great manners but unreliable hearing. The precinct map was wrong for my street and straightening that out required a certain amount of loud-ish discussion.
We mark paper ballots that are fed into an electronic tabulator. The fellow in line ahead of me had his very polite grade school age son with him in the booth, and showed him how to mark the ballot and feed it into the machine. Elderly ladies smiled in approval.
JPL
It took me fifty minutes from start to finish to cast my ballot but the line behind me was getting smaller not larger.
The church where I vote did provide coffee which was nice.
Robin G.
2 month old is already squally. This could be an interesting day.
In other news, decided to take the kiddos to the GOTV locations and bring cookies and coffee to the workers. It’s too cold and rainy for the squirts to stand in voting lines.

@Cassidy: How bout them Dawgs!!!!

O/T, someone on FB put up a tongue-in-cheek posting where political photos from the last year or so had been compiled and he said it almost made him want to do it all over again. Holy cow, that one of Ryan with the backwards baseball cap and the barbell is REAL and it’s just a year old. He looks so incredibly douchy even for him I assumed it was photoshopped when I saw all the memes of it.
JPL
@Robin G.: What a nice idea. Since I already voted, I wouldn’t mind a down pour to discourage the crowd in my area.
Cassidy
@Raven: I’ve been waiting for that. lol
Oh well, a Gator fan has got to hope. Good luck against ‘Bama. You guys are gonna need it.
rlrr
I waited 35 minutes in line to vote…
mai naem
Watching Mornin’ Ho this AM. For some reason today, people aren’t just agreeing with him today. Also, Nate upped the president to 91.6 from 91.4. I know it’s not a huge difference but I’m wondering if Nate’s going to get him down below 8 or if this is the final prediction.
Raven
@Cassidy: The silver lining will be that I can make more $ with Bama in it. They really boost ticket prices. On the other hand, Auburn would love nothing more. . .

Saw the New Black Panthers showed up in Philly. Fox and Friends had a collective orgasm.
Z. Mulls
Long line at 7am in Swarthmore, PA. Good sign? Bad sign?
Morning radio douche is already reporting stories of Black Panthers in Philly throwing out Republican poll watchers. Even if there’s no truth at all, expect this to be a big story on Fox and Republican radio.

Also – If you live in Travis County, (Austin), there are some last minute changes you need to be aware of:
1. Anyone living in Travis Co. can vote at any polling place in the county – it does not have to be your own precinct for this election
2. The Travis County website will have live updates from polling places listing the number of people currently in line and estimated wait times – just pick the smallest one anywhere in the county
3. Capital Metro will be providing free bus rides to the polls for anyone who needs one
There. No excuses, now.
Go get it done.
Cassidy
@Raven: Yeah. Auburn’s best hope is that this season fast forwards and they can stop embarassing themselves.
Have you noticed that 5 of the top 10 teams in BCS rankings are SEC? That’s some good football.
Lurking Canadian
@Cassidy: God’s up there thinking, “Okay, if two hurricanes and rain on Republican precincts aren’t enough for them to get the hint I’ve got a lightning bolt right here with Romney’s name on it”
Ash Can
Get myself cleaned up, dressed, and fed, then off to my new polling place (a couple of blocks west of me now, instead of east). I haz a sad that Jan Schakowsky is no longer my rep, but I still have a good one in Mike Quigley (Rahm’s replacement). From there, a quick trip to the grocery store, then it’s off to the OfA north side HQ for a couple of hours of data entry before Bottle Rocket gets home from school.
Here’s to a good day for all of us Obama supporters. And for the Romney supporters, may the scales fall from their eyes and they somehow learn to see, as John did, and sooner rather than later.
Cassidy
@Lurking Canadian: If it’s their God, he probably already knows they’re a little thick and needs to be less subtle.

@dr. bloor:
In these parlous times, it’s important that one take advantage of whatever small opportunities for pleasure happen to come your way.
All in good fun, of course.
Robin G.
@JPL: I was really hoping we could do a little door knocking or something (by which I mean, like, one block), but it’s just too cold. They’d be miserable and so would I. I already called ahead (to a Minnesotans United location, where they’re doing GOTV to fight the marriage amendment). They’ve got little papers to fold up and hand out, and they promised the kids could help with that. I’m excited :)

The lines to vote here in DC are always crazy long and we don’t even get Congressional representation. I always wonder how people out there in taxation-with-actual-representation land can bring themselves to willingly stay home on election day.
(I’ve been idly wondering if Romney is terrible enough that Obama will manage to best his 2008 performance in DC. He got just shy of 94% of the vote here last time around.)

@Z. Mulls
Ah, one of my alma maters. Crum woods a pleasant pastoral ramble.
If the Quaker early to bed, early to rise ethos still prevalent there, lines at 7 a.m. not surprising.
Still a dry town?
moonbat
Voted this morning at about 8:30 and I was the 90th voter in my little corner of this South Philly precinct. They had a line out the door! I was polled afterwards about whether anyone asked me for ID, which I thought was good. I hope they keep that up all day.
Thank all those who are doing GOTV today. Love you!
Z. Mulls
@NotMax:
Yes Swarthmore is still dry, though there was a short-lived “upscale” BYOB last year. The college is developing an Inn which will have a bar/restaurant of some sort attached, though there is a still a rolling controversy over parking, traffic patterns and suchforth.
I don’t recall such a 7am line in 2008, though I could be mistaken.
I arrived around 7am, voted around 7:30am, and I was voter #68.
LongLost
Very long line (around the block) at my polling place in the liberal enclave that is downtown Minneapolis. Good sign!
Scott S.
I’ve early-voted already, but have encouraged friends on Facebook, Twitter, and G+ to get their butts out there and vote. I even blogged it which may not be effective from a comic book blog, but it’s at least got Batman and threats of violence.

Got my swing state vote in at 6 am in Virginia. 1 for Obama 1 for Kaine.
Disposition Matrix
Your vote will decide who controls the kill list! Do you want a Republican deciding who lives or dies? Perform your civic duty!

The wife and I voted this morning. There was already a line; the process took about 30 minutes. My area (I live in Center City Philly) had low turnout in 2008 but Obama volunteers have been saturating the neighborhood recently. I canvassed on Sunday and everyone I talked to basically said, “Yes, I’m voting for Obama. You are the 5th/6th/7th person to knock on my door in the last two days. Please leave us alone.” Right now there are a bunch of kids outside my apartment window with signs encouraging people to vote and cars keep honking at them in support. I feel cautiously optimistic right now.

Poll watching in des Moines now. Door knocked all weekend. Was lucky to be in front row at final campaign rally last night. Was emotional–pretty sure a tear ran down obamas cheek. And I got a nice hug and thank you when I said I’d been door knocking for him since 2007. Also told him to get some sleep. He said that wasn’t likely. Such a great night. Made waking up so early today after a late night tolerable!
NotMax
@Z. Mulls
Thanks for the info.

@Sunhaws: OOooo You got an ‘Bama hug?! SO. JEALOUS. Thanks for all your work.
Origuy
My sister posted on FB that she when she got in line, she was 150th and waited an hour and a half. She and BIL live in Brownsburg, suburban Indianapolis. They’re for Obama, but I don’t think the rest of the area is very blue.
Matthew in Cincy
Voted early; took me an hour to vote in a liberal suburb in Hamilton county, oh. Now doing GOTV in the 513.
SuzieC
Me too, Dennis. Team Clintonville West! Which part of 614 did you cover?
