I have to put a comment on here just so DougJ doesn’t feel lonely.

So does anybody know what the wingnuts are blithering about with “Benghazi emails” and such? They’re insisting that it’s impeachment-worthy–which tells me that it’s a big ol’ nothingburger–but I’m unclear on what exactly they’re talking about. Anybody? Anybody? Bueller?

Because among the plethora of contradictory reports and e-mails that were no doubt flying around the world in the aftermath of the death of the ambassador, there were some that said it was a “terrorist attack.” The fact that there were probably some that said differently (a la the Fog of War) doesn’t seem to occur to these idiots; it’s all proof that “Obama knew it was terrorism and he didn’t say it was, so Obama lied blah blah blah.”
Apparently, some of the players in the US govt. sent some emails that a particular AQ group had claimed credit for the attack shortly after the attack. To the wingnut mind that is enough to where Obama should have identified AQ right off the bat and sent the Tomahawks on their way.
To the current hysterical wingnut wanting to be rid of Obama after the election, that is an impeachable offense. Even if it was wrong, as early credit taking often is the case in these events. I don’t know where the AQ group made the claim, and it sounds like others don’t either.

Ahhh! Balloon Juice has 666 contributors! I knew this place was the work of the devil.
I’d make it 667 but I don’t really care about the 666 number and I’ve given as much this election season as I am gonna. Yes I did give to that one earlier. Much earlier.

I’ve already tossed in $600 this week, but because MBAL is worth it, I will match Juicer donations for the next $100.
Hit me, baby, one more time…

Nate Silver has Willard back over 30% today, after dipping below the mark yesterday (IIRC). Nervous as a cat in a roomfull of rocking chairs.

Can you put up one for the winnable senate seats?
Thanks.

@trollhattan: The polls today will push Obama back above 70%. Gains in the national trackers as well as solid state polls across the board.
I’m a foreigner, thus ineligible to donate anything but my best wishes — which I do, because I really truly do not want that liar, phony and creep Mitt Romney to become POTUS and fuck up my planet.
Speaking of Mitt, I remember that in London, aside from wowing David Cameron with his mad diplomacy skilz, he met with the British Foreign Office. (Mitt also claimed to have met the head of MI-6, but maybe he was just introduced to Dame Judi Dench at a reception.) A report was leaked to the media from that meeting: the Foreign Office was appalled by his poor grasp of world affairs. His recently displayed ignorance of primary-school geography makes that report seem entirely credible now.

I just got a paycheck, so I’ll match all donations up to $250 from now (11am Aus time) to the end of the work day (so 6 hours from now, my 5pm)

@Amir Khalid:
He does indeed seem strangely ignorant of world affairs.
