We’re planning on two meetups for NRN in Providence: Today at 2 and tomorrow at 2.
Today’s is at Murphy’s Deli and Bar, at 100 Fountain Street, which is basically across the street from the convention center (directions).
Tomorrow’s will be at the Dorrance at 60 Dorrance Street (directions).
DougJ is wearing a blue sportcoat. I have grey pants and a blue checked shirt. Hope to see you there.

Note to OWS protesters. This is how young people should protest if they want to get attention.

I’ll have a gin & tonic and pretend I’m there.

I used to be interested in the goings on at Nut Root until the usual suspects turned it into a whine festival the past couple years over whatever imaginary pony Obama never gave them.
They lost a lot of credibility with me since then. Now I just don’t care and besides, these people have shown they are completely ineffective when it really counts, at the voting booth!
If a politican wants to have a short or non-existant career all they gotta do is kiss up to these people. What are their past and present progressive politicans doing these days? Grayson, Feingold, Kucinich, Dean. They are all political cautionary tales now.

Consider having one tomorrow night for Waterfire. It’s a street-fair type thing. A chance to loiter in fine style.

Remember, the revolution against the Brits actually started here. Don’t believe all that propaganda from Bahstahn: Rhode Islanders burned the Gaspee June 9, 1772, 18 months before the Boston Tea Party, and they didn’t restrict themselves to symbolically dumping the tea overboard. Celebrate the first blow for liberty at WaterFire tomorrow night! http://gaspee.waterfire.org/

I would like to have been there, but posting an announcement at 12:39, in the middle of the keynote lunch session, for a meeting at 2:00? I hate to tell you this, but I am not reading BJ in the middle of Liz Warren. Sorry ’bout that.
Anyway, I’ll be there tomorrow. If you change your clothes, please let us know.
