UPS just delivered my Balloon-Juice calendar and it’s a beauty. It’s not too late to order yours. My dog is on the lower left corner of October for those of you who have one. Here’s an open thread.

Just got mine yesterday, and I like it better than last years model. Not as many critters, but it is much easier to see the pics. Added Bonus; a Tunch for every season!

I know the BJ calendar is beautiful, but I opted for one I found on sale at ThinkGeek – it’s a build-your-own-robot each month calendar (it comes with cardboard punch-out cards that you assemble into the month’s featured robot), and since I love robots, I had to go with that.

Bodhi and Raven are on the cover!

Youse spelled my cat’s name wrong. She is Schnäkli. (The gorgeous specimen in December.)
Could someone please cite the name of the charity again?
Raven
@Jennifer: And the point of telling us that was exactly what?
We have a local, independent bookstore and they had a local author sign his book at the farmer’s market and some dingbat showed up with a box of them and said “oh, I bought these on Amazon”, know what I’m sayin?

We just got ours-our Celia is the covercat on the left, and she and her brother Dexter are upper right January page. Proud to be a part of the coolest calendar out there.
Libby's person
I love my calendar! Of course, I’m biased – Libby’s picture makes September a very special month for me!
Jennifer, build-your-own-robots do sound like lots of fun! Perhaps you need 2 calendars, though – robots to play with, and critters to look at.
If anyone doesn’t want a calendar but does want the warm-fuzzy feeling that comes with it, they can send a few dollars to Charlie’s Angels or their local rescue organization. It’ll be a great way to start the year.

@Raven: Open thread? I was unaware that the price of admission was a calendar purchase.

@Jennifer: Didn’t you know you just walked into the jr. high cafeteria?

@Jennifer: whatever

Saw the robot calendar, it was indeed cool. I, however, went the the traditional freebie Tear-Off-A-Month Orthodox Icono-fest on the firm principle I’m not Orthodox but like icons and am utterly broke.

Oh snap, Obama hates the military!

Got mine yesterday. My Golden, Abby, is the one in the middle of January. Of course I had to buy a couple of them to hand out to the kids. It goes to a good cause.

@Joy: There’s a thought to make the calendar last all year — maybe those with the critters of the month could contribute text updates, descriptions or latest tricks as the months roll by? Sort of an augmented web-based calendar, maybe combined with an active link to Charlie’s Angles for additional donations? I’d assume we have threads to spare.

I haven’t got mine yet. My kittehs are in January and I think November. It will probably be there when I get home.

Here they go again….

my puppies made it! And how many pics of Tunch are there? 6 or 7??
schrodinger's cat
@Woodrowfan: I think there is one every month! Tunch rules.

So it’s Charlie’s Angels in Transylvania (!), NC ?

I got mine. Lovely layout. My pups are in June. Gaby’s name was misspelled, but that happens alot. Everyone wants to stick that extra B in there.
Still a really nice layout and color scheme. I’ve already filled in the next few months with appointments and heartworm med reminder stickers.

When are submissions being taken for 2013, cause our Bassett Hound-Lab (Bassador) we rescued in September deserves some praise. I mean he has his own Daily Mile account already.

@LayedBackGuy:
Totally agree. I just got mine and I really like the larger pictures.
Next year, I was wondering if a date planner could be in the works? I would think it would permit more pictures as well as a bigger paycheck to Charlie’s Angels or even one or two others as well.
I know it would take a lot longer to plan out but I’m sure the pictures could be included as the year progresses. Then we could use the traditional calendar as a way of catching up on all the pictures/animals that didn’t make it into the planner?
Just a thought.

Doorbell rang about two hours after I saw this post with the delivery of my calendar.
Our Shadow aka The Divine Creator is pictured in the lovely month of April.
Again thanks for a great idea that goes to a good cause.
(ps..robots ain’t bad either)

My calendars were left at the front door yesterday but I didn’t find them until this morning. Miss Moxie is in the lower left of September, diagonally from Libby. Mr. Alice is the black cat that’s sleeping in a chair in January. His new name is Mr. January. The calendar is beautiful and thank you again for having it published.
kideni
@Jeffraham Prestonian: Yep! That’s my dog with the butterfly wings in the top left. June also has one of my guinea pigs and my late great kitty lolling in the grass. I love this calendar.

Just got mine today and it’s beautiful. All those gorgeous creatures.

Great stuff.
The cat’s ass disappearing into the washing machine (July) is my wife’s Dexter. No animals were bribed to make this photo; he is that curious.
Madeline is kneading bedding; February seems to heavily represent those pets which are B&W.

My calendar arrived yesterday. I’m also really pleased with it. Arthur and Eowyn are in January. So that is now my favorite month. Until they are in some other month next year.
We all have very cool pets!
