She Dropped The Bomb On Me

For some reason right wing sex scandals always have that extra je ne sais quoi that makes them so much more memorable. I have no idea why. They just do.

***Update***

Yes, it is clearly inaccurate to describe this case as a “sex scandal” when the guy is a rapist and a predator. Apologies.

I think that’s just you, Tim.

After all, if they were THAT memorable, they’d actually have consequences. And we all know that only left-wing scandals ever have real consequences.

It’s because it’s never just sex. There’s always some combination of firearms, young children, and dildos up the ass/spanking/diapers involved. Always.

To call this a “sex scandal” really glosses over the fact that a serious crime was committed. I’ve come to expect sex scandals from celebs of all types (including pols left and right). The crime this guy committed is not even in the same ballpark.

Any suggestions from the Juicers what the best way to light a fire under him is?

This. This story involves allegations of a criminal act with a young and innocent victim. It’s vastly different from a sanctimonious ‘winger getting caught in consensual extramarital hijinks with another adult.

Meanwhile, speaking of bombs, there was a major terrorist incident this morning at the Philly airport during my morning commute.

    The incident?

A teenager strapping Jewish religious ritual prayer boxes to his head and arm caused a scare on a plane from New York to Kentucky this morning, prompting the pilot to land in Philadelphia, officials said.

I must have seen 20 different emergency vehicles from multiple jurisdictions with lights flashing going up 95 (from the airport toward downtown Philly) at a time which was apparently after the “terrorist” was actually in custody according to the radio. I have no idea what they were doing or why the flashing lights.

Obviously, our governments are weak and soft on turrism, when a domestic turrist like this one can be out there, you know, drumming up turrism right in our midsts.

THIS is what makes it truly sick:

Meanwhile, unsurprisingly, the folks at American Resistance Movement — a group Dyer was also prominently involved in — are claiming that Dyer was set up, and the girl who accused him was “programmed” to do so. Accordingly, they’ve set up a “Free July4Patriot” fund, with a little button on their front page so you can donate.

Bill, Bill. I hate to break this to you, but part of growing up is learning that just because a person touches you does not mean that he, or she, likes you.

In school we learn that correlation is not causation, and sex is not love. We also learn that love does not get you sex. Once you have learned that, then you are ready to get married.

(If I had the standing guy’s sense of involate self-assurance, I would rule the world, BTW. Either he’s not very smart or the other two are overreacting.)
