Hehe. I’m getting a sudden inexplicable urge to read Bloom County.

A) I doubt it. Very much. Not that Fox is above such a stunt but that Chris Wallace, bottom line, is.
B) I was a little more concerned about the other headline I saw on TPM — that death threats against the President of the United States of America have increased by 400 percent since the new guy took office — and the Secret Service is”overwhelmed.”
Holy fucking crap.
DougL (frmrly: Conservatively Liberal)
That would be hilarious if that was really him. Looks pretty good but looks aren’t everything. It will be interesting if this flushes the real parent out (if there is one) though I wouldn’t expect it to get much attention.

The ear shadow versus the hair seems a little off, but I think it meets the Glenn Beck level of chalk board analysis.
Though of course I wouldn’t want to go there.
TenguPhule
The obvious solution is to make examples of the usual suspects.
Strap Rush in front of a firing squad on the 6:00 news and take the starch out of their shorts.
If that doesn’t work, Coulter, Malkin, Assrocket and company will follow until morale improves.
WyldPiratd
Please, ellaesther. Chris Wallace above such a stunt?
How’s that old adage go? “If you lie down with dogs, don’t be surprised if you end up with fleas.”
Besides, unless you personally know Chris Wallace (and even IF you did), what you assert is nothing but speculative bullshit.
ellaesther
@WyldPiratd: Uh…. huh. So, pie it is then!
TenguPhule
I’ve seen condoms thicker then that.
WyldPiratd
ellaesther@7:
Not my fault that you made an unsupportable assertion and lack the integrity to admit it to yourself. It’s plain as day to anyone that can read above say, a third grade level.

But this is where the line gets broken down. We can’t tell where rediculous thoughts are different from satire or conspiracy theory. This is our current state of news/opinion/entertainment media. That is the truly sad state for all involved.
Paul
Hey, a little respect for the News Hour, please! An hour of free, sober, often in depth nightly news coverage is something to be celebrated, despite it’s routine and minor faults.
Now, you kids get off my lawn! I swear I’ll cut that apple tree to the ground!
sfinny
@Paul: But I only want a newshour that reinforces my views and opinions. Thank you very much. :-)

You can use this clip to check the hairdoos, and if they don’t match, then I say it’s gotta be Wallace.
Brick Oven Bill
Glenn Beck rocks.
TenguPhule
Corrected.
I apologize to any rocks offended.
Comrade Kevin
Americablog? I thought Avarosis was just a hysterical, shrill idiot who overreacts to absolutely everything.
Ash Can
@WyldPiratd: I recommend the decaf.

Let me get this straight. Some parent didn’t like Anita Dunn’s (who I never heard of until this week) speech to his kid’s high school, and he can only say so with his voice altered and sitting in the dark? Is he afraid of being sent to a FEMA camp or something for that? That’s some pretty loony shit.

The Solution: Black helicopter rides at three AM over the Bermuda Triangle for the suspects. Just like Bush and Cheney would have done. I’m tired of fucking around with these assholes, it’s all they understand anyway. They want fear? Let’s give ’em fear.
GregB
Poor Chris, he can’t help it. He’s going to be the leftwing scalp to counter his Dad’s TANG fiasco. It couldn’t happen to a smugger, smarmier pud.
Whats’ the freqeuncy Rupert?

@WyldPiratd: Well, considering that most of us offer unvalidated opinions all the time, I agree with Ash Can. Try the decaf.
That said, I don’t think Wallace is above such a stunt (see my unvalidated opinion?), but I am not convinced that the shadow is he.
Cain
Wow if he did do such a thing, that would be… inconceivable!
Anyways, I’m sure Mike is very proud of his son and what he’s done to the name “Wallace” if it ever got out that he lowered himself to do such a crap act with Crazy Man.

MelodyMaker
wow, Americablog sure looks shitty. I read the whole post before the page loaded. don’t miss it, and this wasn’t worth giving it another try. Not saying that you’re uncool, DougJ. :)
MelodyMaker
besides, if Beck thinks it’s cute to do a blatant double-reverse nutpick and get busted at it, he’s probably right.
Dave
What was the Wallace connection to Dunn they were talking about on Olbermann? I missed it. I’m pretty sure I don’t get anything beyond “this shadow might be Chris Wallace.”
MelodyMaker
@MelodyMaker:
faulty logic, unsupported opinions and lax capitalization. I can spell, though.
MelodyMaker
fawlty logic, unvalidated opinions AND lax capitalziation. I can spell, tho.
valdivia
So totally OT and who knows if people will be reading this thread but this is fun: Christie now caught using his friend in the prosecutors office to help his campaign after he gave her a loan. These Rovians are *not* going to fare well in elections.
Msburning
Nice to see the BJ commentariat becoming more insular and gang like. You idiots are going to Cesca this site.
Way to be the exact thing you so often bitch about when confronted with your fallacy.
Napoleon
@Mark S.:
Of course that is what Beck is trying to telegraph to his audience, just like you use grainy black and white video of your opponent in TV ads to suggest that they are criminals being picked up on the camera behind the counter of the local Quickie Mart.
Tonybrown74
It’s not just Avarosis connecting those dots. On Keith Olbermann last night, Richard Wolfe, to paraphrase, said that how coincidental that a video of a graduation speech, which isn’t available to the general public, makes it on to Glenn Beck’s show; a coincidence, mind you, that Chris Wallace’s kids also attended that school.
Napoleon
@Tonybrown74:
I took this whole thing as a joke and I did not seriously think it could possibly be true that Chris Wallace was the person in silhouette on the Beck show, but just moments ago I watched the clip of Olbermann’s show and that changed my mind. If Wallace’s kid went/goes to that school and the video in question is not publicly available (and the event itself was closed) this suddenly smells a whole lot more like that is in fact Chris Wallace and that would explain why they treated the person as if they were testifying against some Colombian drug kingpin.
JenJen
@Tonybrown74: Atrios has a link up to the Richard Wolffe interview on KO last night. Good stuff! And honestly, isn’t Chris Wallace the biggest WATB over at FNC these days, what with his epic hissy fit when the President notably excluded him from his media blitz a few Sundays back? I wouldn’t put this past those assknobs at FNC.

@valdivia:
Wow, that’s awesome. Thanks for posting that.
I would hope that that woman does hard time for that, but I doubt it will happen.

Fallacy in the morning gives me heart palpitations. But if you want to stop by at night, sailor, I’ll meet your fallacy head on.
matoko_chan
I have a solution for this problem.
Question for Mr. Tapper–
In your opinion, is the Christian Broadcast Network a peer “news organization” with your “sister networks” like CNN and ABC?
We think it would be fine to just rename FOXnews to the FOX-White Evangelical Christian Network of the Neo-confederacy…….or alternatively the FOX-Propaganda Arm of the GOP…….or the FOX-Republican Fakenews Network……
you pick, poseur.
;)
Yutsano
@valdivia: I’m betting there’s more than just the corruption behind that. The details just scream affair to me. Though that would make her taste in mates rather, umm, questionable.
