A comment in an earlier thread:
This morning, Glenn Beck was lamenting the fact that the lefty blogosphere and elitist MSM wasn’t on Blago like they were on Palin. “Have you heard anyone call this guy stupid?”
I went to google news to see if they had a search for the transcript, so I could make fun of Beck and point to hundreds of places where Democrats are calling Blagojevich stupid and to note that it must be something kind of special to have to wait three months to find someone dumber than Sarah Palin, and this is the result of my search:
On second thought, maybe that was what I was looking for after all.

Both Keith and Rachel called him stupid many times yesterday…
wvng
Perfect!
Xecky Gilchrist
Actually, I haven’t heard any liberals calling Blago stupid. I’ve read it in about a hojillion places but not actually heard it, since I don’t watch TV news or listen to the radio.
Incertus
Teh google is indeed wise.

Obama presidency implodes even before it begins:
Liberals are now ruing the days they were lionizing Patrick Fitzgerald. The Blagojevich scandal is just Fitz’s opening shot in a thundering salvo which will blow away the rotten edifice of the Obama presidency before it gets off the ground. As was astutely observed in many quarters, the Blagojevich indictment was a preemptive strike before the corrupt Obama and his minions could get their dirty hands on the reins of the Department of Justice and replace Fitzgerald with their own apparatchik who would cover up the whole mess. They may still try to do it, but I predict that they will reap a whirlwind of their own destruction if they do. If not, Fitz will still methodically take them down brick by brick.
Mark my words, l’affaire Blagojevich is just the tip of the iceberg looming on a distant horizon. Many other matters are still under investigation, a few of which are already known: Rezko, Ayers and Wright, for instance. A lot more is waiting to be publicly uncovered (although Fitz already knows a lot more than he is letting on). As an example there is the extraordinary blizzard of small contributions to the Obama campaign. No, don’t tell me it was just ordinary Joes and Janes giving away their hard-earned dollars (although perhaps some of them may have been unwittingly fleeced by computer hackers hired by the campaign to loot their credit cards and online bank accounts). There is also the corrupt wheeling and dealing with the Clintons, connected to her appointment as Secretary of State. I predict that other nefarious deeds will be revealed, which are simply too shocking to be believed!
The Obama presidency will turn out to be the vilest and most disgusting chapter in American history. Fortunately it seems like it will also be the briefest chapter.
Merry Fitzmass to you all.

@nabalzbbfr:
Cool. Proof by assertion is the best method of showing something to be true!
Gabriel
Too shocking to be believed, people. I, for one, cannot wait for the stunning truth.
ArchPundit
I’ve been proudly calling him stupid since 2003. Nearly every liberal blog in Illinois did the same.
Shygetz
Wow, some people just don’t know how to read. It’s never too late to learn, nabalzbbfr. I have faith in you, you can do it!

It’s always good to see new-baalzebuv in rare form. It would be even better if he and his other sock puppets were in even rarer form.
Joshua Norton
On the other hand, we shouldn’t discourage those glorious ramblings of the kool-ade sated members of the wingnuttia.
That post was one of the funniest things I’ve read since I last stumbled across a Betty Bowers blog with a touch of Onion thrown for good measure.
demimondian
@TheFountainHead: You have much win today.
ninerdave
Well Bush set an awfully high bar there bucko.
The Grand Panjandrum
Must be his lazy ass research staff at CNN. It couldn’t possibly be that Glenn is a half-bright mouthbreather, could it? He’s proof that anyone, no matter how clueless, can make a living. I was pretty sure he could never outdo his interview of the first Muslim Congressmen, but he is just another gift that keeps on giving. May the gods bless the wingnuts and keep them healthy for our continuing enjoyment.
Joshua Norton
They’ll start harping on the amount of money Obama raised to create a diversion from the Palin wardrobe rip-offs. The only problem is that the Obama money was donated to back his campaign and was spent legitimately. No one donated money specifically to send Sarah to Saks.
gbear
Mark my words, it’s going to be a very long year (or four) for nabalzbbfr.
And ANY presidency will seem brief after the 75 years of regress under Bush.
demimondian
@ninerdave: Of course. If they don’t set the bar for failure impossibly high, how would the wingnuts be able to trumpet their claims that Obama failed to fail?

hehe. Cole continues to win at the internet.

@nabalzbbfr:
Great work, dude: the only things that imploded today were my sides – from laughing at your ludicrous trollery.
I suppose in couple of years, when Pres. Obama nominates Patrick Fitzgerald for the Supreme Court, you’ll still be posting hyperventilating comments about how that proves he’s in on some corrupt deal to cover up "The Truth", right?
Shinobi
Everyone on the train home last night was calling him Stupid. Though, no one is surprised, I think the entire state of illinois is resigned to the crookedness of the politicians here.
When I first moved here my friend told me to always keep at least $50 in my wallet to bribe the tow truck drivers. If you’re planning on visiting don’t forget to allow for inflation, it’s $100 now.
demimondian
@Jay C: Fitz isn’t going for the supes; he’ll go for the Governorship of Illinois. And I’ll bet he wins it, too.
Watch out for him 2016.
Scott H
Don’t you feel a bit sad for Sarah Palin? A little over a month since the election and some possible quality of Glenn Beck’s stupidity already trumps her name recognition in the Google glossary.
The Other Steve
I haven’t heard any liberals talking about this at all. Seen lot’s of blog stuff, but I certainly have not heard anything.
Maybe I should turn on my tv or radio?
Karen
Google can, at times, be a friend.
The Other Steve
I forget. Is David Gergen a liberal since he didn’t like Palin, or is he a conservative since he worked for Reagan?
Does anybody have a decoder ring?
ThymeZoneThePlumber
He’s a whore, and he will provide any services on the whore menu, for a price.
He is usually being paid to be the "wise, experienced and objective pundit."
Yeah, it IS hard to say that with a straight face.
I don’t know which is funnier, the idea that he is the wise and objective pundit, or that they have to bring in a guy to play that role as a foil to the other blithering malaprop generators sitting on the panels with him.
Balconesfault
@Jay C:
The wingnuts are a step ahead of you Jay – listening to el Rushbo today while I was running some errands at lunch, and he’s convinced that Fitzgerald filed the indictments too early in order to keep Blogo out of real trouble, since no Senate seat-sale deal had happened yet.
This was all about protecting Blagojevich from prosecution, don’t you know?
gbear
OT, but I just started laughing uncontrollably after reading this quote from Mitch McConnell:
Hahahahah. What a wit. He’ll be here all week.
ThymeZoneThePlumber
Didn’t Fitzgerald say, yesterday, that they acted now to prevent the sale from happening?
ThymeZoneThePlumber
Three words: Strategic Defense Initiative.

@nabalzbbfr: Jeezus christ, nabalzabiffer, put the crack pipe down. You’re going to stunt your growth with that shit.

Someone called him "Nozzleboffer" once and now I can’t read his name any other way.

Glenn Beck can suck it.
@nabalzbbfr
What will you do if Obama decides to keep Fitzgerald on in his current post, and Fitz agrees to do so?
What will you do when Rush Limbaugh is caught, red-handed, with his Viagra-laced boner in some poor Costa Rican boy’s anus? Photos, video, sworn statements, arrest.

Why do conservatives think there’s something more to be learned about Reverend Wright and Ayres?
They always include Reverend Wright and Ayres in the litany of "bombshells waiting to go off".
Both Wright and Ayres haven’t shut up since Obama was elected. If they’re waiting to drop a bombshell, they’re burying it in a lot of unsuppressed speech.
Is it because they have to have a LIST to establish a PATTERN of nefarious associations? Can’t Obama just fire back with a list of honorable associations? He has some pretty impressive backers. Isn’t it a wash? The whole guilt by association thing baffles me. There are no rules.
jake 4 that 1

Anyone check out The Page today? Halperin must be creaming himself about all of this.
I’d check myself but my therapist told me I shouldn’t visit that site anymore.

He annoys me more than Oreilly because Oreilly doesn’t even pretend to be sincere, and he doesn’t have the creepy dry-drunk gaze of Beck. Beck doesn’t just look like a prick, he looks like an apocalyptic madman no matter how many "wacky" jokes he makes.

A bit late to the party, but, given the context, this certainly needs to be mentioned. Josh Marshall at Talking Points Memo highlights this report from TPM reader PN:
So, yes, Glenn. Lots of people, many of them evil evil Demoncrats, are calling Blagojevic not just "stupid", but also "ignorant", "dumb", "idiot", and "jackass". Sounds like the two of you could relate.
