Auburn is pretty bleh this year. I was glad Tuberville fired their offensive coord. after the Vanderbilt fiasco, but unless they upset Florida and ‘Bama this year, this season’s over.
Bobzim
I was watching Fox News today and Megan Kelly was wrapping up a segment in which Karl Rove was giving a state of the campaign briefing. (Have you noticed that Rover has pried the Dry Erase board out of Tim Russert’s cold, dead hands?)
So Megan says, "Karl Rove crunching the numbers for us. Karl crunched the numbers and won two elections for…uh…somebody".
Bush is now "He Who Shall Not Be Named In Conjunction With Karl Rove" on Fox.
D-Chance.
Scary Black Obamamerica supporter attacks Frail White Female McCainMcCain supporter during ATM robbery! "Carves" letter "B" (backwards) on her pretty Attractive White Female face!
Eh, I call fake.
Two more weeks of this… two more weeks. And it will only get worse.

@Keith:
They won’t play Florida unless they reach the SEC Championship game, which is exceedingly unlikely.
Just Some Fuckhead
Anyone else cross reference the online sex offender registry with the houses in your neighborhood that have McCain/Palin signs?
One for one so far in my neighborhood, two more houses to check.

On this day in history the Earth was Created….. just 6012 years ago.
If today is the Earth’s birthday, why were McCain and Palin out hustling for votes?
They should have headed over to the creation museum in Kentucky for the day.

@fuddmain:
So who gets the axe first, Tuberville or The Great Pumpkin (aka Fulmer)?
My money is on Fulmer. If AU doesn’t finish the season in some form of respectability, Tuberville may go the way of his OC. They are getting restless in Tiger or War Eagle or whatever-town.
smiley
OT: For a guy of my generation, this is awesome.
fuddmain
@Foxhunter:
I would say Fulmer, but I believe he got a, uh, fat contract extension last year and it would cost UT a mint to show him the door.
I would think Tuberville would survive this year, but he’d better turn it around next year.
PaulW
My mom’s a War Eagle. Even she knows Auburn is below-average this year.
Lighten up, Francis. It’s only second quarter, and your Eers just scored a TD to make it 17-10.
Tuberville’s a goner, especially if they lose to Tide this year. Too many poor seasons.

Eers vs. Auburn?
I am embarrassed to admit that I have no idea what this thread is about.
Foxhunter
@fuddmain:
As a UGA grad and fan, I know how those fat contracts work…see Goff (I think we are still paying him) and Donan. But at times it I do wonder if that Fulmer is paid in donuts.
Didn’t realize he re-upped last year. That’s probably a lock for at least one more year unless some big donor(s) steps up and muscles him out.
Personally, I like Tuberville, can’t stand Saban. I would love to see AU thump Alabama, but ALA’s line (O & D) will smoke them. I sat in utter disappointment as they dismantled our boys for two quarters in Athens.
Funny hearing Granny Holtz talk about NASCAR.

The 30 Rock season premiere is up now. Sadly, it’s only on Hulu, which mean us socialist furriners can’t see it. Blerg!

So does Malkin.

Damn, John. After seeing your ‘update’, I had to pause and wonder if I’d mistakenly wandered into my UGA board. You sound like 90% of our fans, but I understand.
*as an aside, Erin Andrews it teh hawt.

Nice to see Druged get pwned. A backwards ‘B’? WTF, over?
I think that sleeze peddler is losing his edge.

it’s 43F, wind of 15 mph, n its raining. steadily. And I’m expected to play 2 consecutive softball games 15 minutes from now. this is THE very def of "shitty". at least all you dry and warm fuckers be thankful ure not as stupid as me.

Auburn still has a team?
Svlad Jelly
It ain’t over. IT AIN’T OVER! Down seven at the half ain’t bad — it’s not where we’re used to being, but it ain’t bad. I’m seeing some good stuff. But:
1) Where the fuck is our defense on these fucking 3rd downs? Fuck!
and:
2) What the fuck is wrong with these refs? I counted 3 blown calls on that first Auburn drive: the catch that wasn’t; the fumble that wasn’t (even the anchors missed that one, but the guy’s knees hit the ground, man); and I forget the third one, but it was important, I know that much.
Interceptions happen. It just sucks for two to come that early. Leaves no room for mistakes later.
But IT AIN’T OVER, DAMMIT!!!

So how many yrds does Steve Slat…..oh, yeah. Nevermind.

The left is bitterly complaining about out of control McCain-Palin supporters supposedly shouting death threats and other nasty stuff about Obama and his supporters (which the Secret Service found no evidence of). In the words of the Good Book: mote-beam-eye.
Svlad Jelly
Looking at the stats, we’ve got the same number of rushing yards on 1/3rd the carries. Heh. The second half will be fun.

@Foxhunter:
You realize that she’s a Gator, right? BTW, I was in Athens for the first time last year during the weekend of the UF/UGA game. Awesome town. Too bad UGA is there…;).
fuddmain
@Foxhunter:
I’m a UF grad and fan. The Cocktail Party ought to be a good one this year.
I feel the same way about Tuberville and Saban.
Erin Andrews is a UF grad and is definitely hawt.

@fuddmain:
Would you believe that I have a dum@ss cousin, UGA grad, getting married to a UGA grad on, drumroll……effing’ Nov. 1? In Athens. I had to sell my tickets in order to keep my standing in the family. However, had we not been spanked by Alabama, I would forsaken the calendar-challenged idiot and gone to the cocktail partay.
Good luck and here’s to a great game. I promise no stupid ass celebrating in the end zone. I was a bit embarassed by that moment, but our team needed a little false bravado to make em feel good. I’ve heard that Meyer is making the team watch that tape before every practice and I don’t blame him.

FYI – Will Ferrell as GWB on NBC. Now.

No pass game coming out of the half. Bummer.
Foxhunter
@smiley:
Good times to be had in Athens, no doubt. Love that place.
Sorry the school takes something away from the town for you. =?)
And yes, I knew she was a UF grad. However, as much red and black in my closet, I’m not a Gator hater….so she still passes the smell test. Good luck in the game!

I mentioned this earlier, but I think it’s worth repeating. If you type in joinrudy2012.com into your address bar, it’ll take you to joinrudy2002.com. Now, this might be a joke, or it might be that Rudy! registered both domains at the same time, but let’s assume that it’s not, because, well, we saw how well his presidential campaign reflected planning and skill. Is there a way to check this? If it turns out that Rudy! has registered the domain name recently, shouldn’t this be news?
SamFromUtah
@Brian J: If it turns out that Rudy! has registered the domain name recently, shouldn’t this be news?
Gotta be a fake. A Rudy site with no mentions of 9/11? Puh-leeze.

@Brian J: Here’s the registrant info for joinrudy2012.com
Domains By Proxy is a registrant you use when you want to keep the identity of the registrant private. They will not even comply with subpeonas, only court orders. So I have no idea who has registered this.
Registration info for joinrudy2008.com:
joinrudy2008.com (ip address 216.8.179.23) does NOT lead to the same server as joinrudy2012.com (ip address 64.202.189.170), even though both sites seem the same. I think this may be a joke.

See what happens when I take my eye off the game…. Three and out. Fuck.

@Bobzim:
There we go!
Or is that out of date now?
Svlad Jelly
Now THAT’S what we’re used to seeing from West Virginia. I think a Yee-Haw is in order.
Brian J
I figured it would be.
fuddmain
@Foxhunter:
That is not cool. I’d be sorely tempted to wrap up a dog turd for their gift.
I was steamed last year with that end zone celebration, but I think it had the desired effect. Richt is a class act, so I wouldn’t expect something like that again. Meyer has a degree in psychology, so he is, no doubt, pushing all the buttons. We just need to not look past Kentucky this weekend.
This year’s game should be a real gem. The winner will, most likely, go to the SEC Championship game.
Cheers and good luck.
Svlad Jelly
I don’t think it’s a joke.
Brian J
HAHAHAHAHA. WIN.
Brian J
Is McCain down to only $12 million in cash?
kommrade jakevich
@Brian J: The Palins were so embarrassed by the doggone Lieberul Media Gotcha style fuss over the shit ton of clothes McPOW bought then they threw them away and bought a fresh assload of clothes.
Foxhunter
@fuddmain:
Back at you fuddmain. See you here next weekend for post game analysis. I’m thinking Vegas puts this at UF +6.5 assuming we make it past LSU (marginal…Baton Rouge is worth at least a touchdown) and UF beats UK (probable).

New SUSA poll for MN-06:
671 likely voters (MOE +/- 4%)
Tinklenberg 47%
Bachmann 44%
This poll was in the field before the RNCC abandoned Bachmann, and before Tinklenberg’s $1M week.
Decency lives.

Need to cheer for at least 6 games in the World Series for Obama to get maximum benefit of his 30 minute ad buy next week. Go both teams!
Brian J
In other words, when the next poll comes out, it could be a lot worse?
If this is what it takes to bring these people down, why not shove a camera into every vulnerable Republican’s face in the next few days?
Matt
I’ve lived in Morgantown the majority of my life and I’ve never heard a Yee-Haw spoken in earnest.
gbear
All you’ll get from Norm Coleman is ‘bi-partisan, bi-partisan, can’t we all work together?" and then a polite knife in the back to Franken. He’s too well rehearsed to blow it on camera and he’s good at keeping his sleazy stuff under the table. There is only so much slime he can hide though, and some of his associates seem to be sliding into the spotlight lately (his DC landlord for one. can’t think of his name…)
gbear
Well that didn’t take long to find. Norm Coleman’s DC landlord is a friend of Karl rove and runs the robocall company that slimed McCain in 2000. Now he’s Palin’s personal shopper.
Jasper
Fuddmain/Foxhunter,
The word here in Knoxville seems to be money won’t be a problem. If UT gets embarrassed by Alabama this weekend, it’s almost definitely over. Even the local media (think Fox/GOP when it comes to Fulmer) has been openly suggesting it’s time for him to go.
Brian J
Just because he won’t hang himself with the rope given to him doesn’t mean others won’t.
SamFromUtah
@Brian J: …why not shove a camera into every vulnerable Republican’s face in the next few days?
I would love to see that done, but for the best crazy they need to have their guard down. Bachmann was just happily chattering along about how much liberals hate America, because that’s what she does when she’s on autopilot, as far as I can tell.
Sneak a few unobtrusive mikes and camcorders into campaign events, and that’s where the good batshit will come from.
blogreeder
Does this mean that Obama is buying the election? Isn’t that what everyone here hates about the rich?
Jeff
Add Thomas Sowell to the wingnut, scare tactics brigade, if he was not already there.
I guess he never heard of the Lugar-Obama Initiative.
Jeff
@blogreeder: I hate to feed the troll, but….. When your average donation is less than $100 and it comes from more than 3 million donors, it means the people are buying the election.
blogreeder
@Jeff
So, you’re cool with that?

i for one, am not concerned.
