I blog about my dog quite often at my own place. She’s a great friend. The Lab is mine. The Irish is my neighbor’s. (l-r. Princessa and Charlotte)

Don’t you mean “Laberal”?
Michael D.
Yes, she’s a laberal!! And sorry for all the strikethru. Fixed
Davebo
She’s a beauty. My lab is getting frisky just looking at her.

Aw, they’re so sweet. I love dog blogging.

Davebo: You, like me, are very lucky to have a Lab. I know you know what I mean.

well, my sophia may not be a lab, but she is bar none the absolute cutest dog that has ever lived.
of course, life never gives you freebies, so she also has major allergies and some hip problems.

Wow, that’s a lot of central air conditioning!

I got a 4 year old black lab who looks exactly like your Charlotte. His mname is Link. When we got him my step-son chose the name. Thinking of the “Mod Squad”, I told him that I thought it was racially inappropriate. He just gave me a blank stare. He had never heard of the “Mod Squad”. The kid was 13 years old and the show hadn’t been on for over 30 years, so it was pretty stupid of me in the first place. He was thinking of a character in a video game (“Zelda”, I think). My thinking was shaped by a guy I knew in college( back in the ’80’s) who named his black lab “Thurgood”. Now, that was racially inappropriate.

God, Sophie looks just about the cutest odd-mixed breed ever :) Your Laberal looks like she’s got quite some mischief behind that cuddly exterior *g* I should know, I’ve got a German Shepherd/Rottweiler halfbreed, named Diva, who knows how to look innocent when there’s a camera around, too ;).

Beautiful dogs…especially the lab.
That reminds of two dogs I knew from years ago. Irish Setter/Lab mixed siblings.
They looked like labs except one was long haired, but both were that beautiful copper colour. Imagine a copper lab. I still think about that dog..he was incredible looking.
I inherited a minidach/chihuahua mix…something I NEVER thought I’d want to be near, but he is the bravest little thing and loves to GO. He really is cute, too. Looks more mimi dach, but with very long ears that stand up when he is excited. He looks like a deer with the big brown eyes
But he is not political..my cat, however is Randian.

Just got home with our 10 week old Finnish Spitz. Yay, puppy!

How did you come to the conclusion that she’s a liberal? Did she hump your leg?
JWW
Psycheout,
It’s not about the leg humping. It’s the ability to lick gravy without using your teeth.

In an attempt to turn this back to puppers — I was the proud ownwer of a Black Lab up until 4 years ago. His name was Buddy, and he had a great life after meeting my best friend ever, Shepherd-mix Gretchen. He started out at 30 lbs. He was abandoned. He was afraid of thunder but not of anything else. He protected me and Gretchen many many times. Black Labs are the best.
That’s not to say that other puppers can’t shine. Now I have two girlies — one crazy, the other sweet as honey — and like another commenter upthread — of breeds I had sworn off — pointer (bird dog) and chow. Never never never would I have chosen either of those breeds. But they are my girlies now. I won’t link to their pics, but my name links back to my little blog and the category of four footed ones links to pics.
As for psycheout, Micheal, you should take its comment for what it’s worth — most likely spoof, but if not, a poor soul whose hope has already been dashed. No need to get worked up about that. . .
Charlotte looks to be a good girl.
I miss my Bud.

That is one handsome pair of dogs.
