This NY Times headline was amusing:

Hmmm, i was just thinking, if the NYT’s was as liberal as it is in the comforting daydreams of Stormy, Darrell, et al wouldn’t the headline be “Bush lies yet again”?
Mr Furious
I’m just enjoying the fact that generic Bush stories fall under “Republican Stupidity.”

It’s almost like the goals were actually set up to be unattainable…which would then require a reduction of those goals…but that can’t be right!

Toward the end of that NYT story is this gem:
I guess Bush really wanted people to think he was serious when he said he wanted us to reduce dependence on foreign oil by 75% within the next 20 years.
Tell me, why should I believe anything this man says ever again?

But wait, there’s more!
Bush energy advisors clarify his statements on Mideast oil
WASHINGTON – One day after President Bush vowed to reduce America’s dependence on Middle East oil by cutting 75% of imports from there by 2025, his energy secretary and national economic advisor said yesterday that the president didn’t mean it literally.

Attempting to find a connection between what the Little President says and what is popularly regarded as reality can be a futile exercise.

40% of Americans agree with that brain-damaged waste of protoplasm’s version of reality. And, indeed, will change their perceptions to agree with his on an as-needed basis.
The most interesting legacy of the Bush Admin will be the elevation of solipsism to not only a ruling philosphy, but a socially acceptable one as well.

Because those who disbelieve Hate America and War against GOP – excuse me, God.

Al-Qaeda hacked into the teleprompter and changed part of his speech. Bush happily did was he was told, i.e. reading without thinking. No one dared to correct him and so they had to back pedal the day after…
This reminds me of the time when Jack Palance gave the Oscar to Marisa Tomei.
Stormy70
You know what? Let the private sector do it, not the government. They would just screw it up anyway.
StupidityRules
Stormy70, did you hear about that activist governor in West Virginia who decided to shut down all mining operations due to the fact that 16 miners died in the last month? Yet another reason to not allow the goverment to interfere, the mining companies are probably losing millions due to this.
The Disenfranchised Voter
Hey look at that headline!
That’s the “liberal” NY Times for ya. Damn them!
