Thanks to Russ, we now have a readable comment size. More changes in process.
*** Update ***
Now the pop-up comments box has been enlargened.
For those of you using Firefox and the comments are center aligned, right click while in the comments, click refresh, and it should fix it.
*** Update ***
The box for where you write your comments has now been increased.

I’m not noticing a bigger font and the center alignment is making me want to start commenting in verse.
Jon H
IMHO, the font is kinda huge in Firefox. It’s okay in IE, but I don’t normally use it.
John Cole
Center alignment?
Rick
No center alignment. It’s like most of the crummy guests at this blog: hard left.
;)
Cordially…
Russ
I’m not seeing any alignment issues…
j
In Firefox, it was center-aligned and still a smaller text until I reloaded the page. That fixed it.
demimondian
J, Russ — the behavior J describes is also the behavior I saw on IE.
Russ
And the font size looks the same to me in IE, Mozilla, Firefox and Opera.
j
Also, did you really mean to say “Please do no submit comments twice.”
Or should that be not? Yes, I’m a spelling freak. One of those annoying people who always find typos, except for my own.
Stormy70
All my posts are center aligned, how do you fix it in Firefox? The font is bigger, though. How do you reload a comment page? My computer geek husband is not here right now, something about some of us work full-time, blah, blah, blah.
j
Right click on the comments page and select Reload. That fixed both the alignment and text size issues for me.
Stormy70
Ok, it looks good, far left and all. Thanks, j!
bg
Just FYI, the problems and solutions to Firefox issues work for Safari as well.
j
Ehh, I’m rather far left myself, so I prefer seeing that alignment!
:-)

Yeah, not only do the comments here have a unique influence on world events, but Rick has been chained to his monitor and tortured, sorry, abused into reading them. And then those durn waterboarders force him to write.
scs
Looks great! I can actually read what I wrote and see if I have spelling mistakes. Ny eyeballs thank you.
Tim F
I think “Ricky’ is annoyed with me.
Tim F
I also think the comments box is still too small for proofreading in Firefox.
Sincerely,
Roberta
Tim F
er, that should say ‘the font in the comments box.’ QED.
Sincerely,
Jennifer
Rick
Tim F,
No, puzzled. Based on a few of your comments, you suspect I’m a “Ricky” of some (former?) Balloon-Juice reknown or infamy.
Yet that draws a complete black from me, and I go back on this blog more than 2 years, when the only leftie keyboard commando, practically, was Andrew J. Lazarus.
I always thought he laid eggs in the comment section, but I damn sure never thought they’d hatch.
Anyone have the phone number of Tom DeLay’s old pest control sevice?
Cordially…
Jay C
The right-click-and-refresh thing seems to increase the font size up: is that normal?
Of course, this is on (you’ll excuse the expresion) AOL, so who knows?
Anyway, comments box is MUCH better.
Now how about HTML code?
Stormy70
Andrew J. Lazarus. – There is a blast from the past! I was a secret lurker back then, Mwaaahaahaaaa! Aren’t you lefties glad I emerged from the Darkness? Of course, John was a little more red back then, as opposed to purple.
Ok, I’ll stop with the jokes, now. I’m up to my eyeballs in nit-picky work crap. I’m in insurance, so you can imagine the tediousness. :(
Tim F
Hm, I wouldn’t know old Balloon Juice commenters from Peter. Rather new here myself. I be thinking of commenters in other places and times, with similar names and precisely the same MO. Maybe the Atlantic, or the NYT boards. You don’t get around? I’ll take your word for it.
Still, it wouldn’t be a bad thing to be connected to that guy. As trolls go he was a true pro. On a good day he could set off a dozen angry liberal tirades with one glib post. Hard not to admire that.
Rick
Tim F,
So what’s the connection with the”Brenda” you mentioned last night. Some Bonnie Parker-like hottie of his?
I get around, but not to boards hosted by my bete noir liberal media.
Cordially…
John Cole
OK- What is wrong with the html code?
Rick
OK- What is wrong with the html code?
If the above is italicized, nothing.
p.lukasiak
I don’t use firefox, so I don’t know (or care) much about what everyone else is obsessing about.
But THANK YOU! for making it much easier to read the comments!
Stormy70
Don’t make fun of me, but how do you make something italicized? Is it only for the cool people?
Mason
Thanks! Much better!
