Critics of this administration are fond of saying that since no WMD have been found, Bush has no credibility on the international scene. I agree that not finding WMD was damaging, but if you really want to see what having no credibility means, read this:
Britain, France and Germany have sent a letter to Iran to resolve the stalemate over inspections of an alleged nuclear arms program, raising US concern of a split in the Western front on this issue, according to officials in Paris and Vienna.
In Paris, the French foreign ministry confirmed the sending of the letter in August but denied that it offered a deal with Tehran.
To which my reaction was: “Or What?” Twelve years of toughly worded Security Council resolutions? I bet they are shaking in heir boots.
