Wanna know why the major networks are dying? It isn’t because of liberal bias. It is because I am stuck in my house with 30 inches of snow outside, and my choice on two of the major networks are the Fear Factor and then a two hour special on Michael Jackson OR three hours of Michael Jackson. Thanks, guys.
I am going to watch the Home and Garden channel- at least they are showing nice weather.

The History Channel is always a nice alternative.

I was just going to suggest that! They had a cool special on last night about the suicide bombers during WWII.

No, the major networks are dying because of the wealth of cable network choices, and other entertainment sources. (Movies, DVDs, computers, game systems.) Plenty of people will do a niche activity that appeals to them rather than a big network that tries to appeal to many.
These reality shows and specials get higher ratings and more people than the alternatives. It’s not like networks won’t pay for highly rated, highly regarded, expensive shows. (Friends, Seinfield, etc.) That’s why they’re made… the networks would be dying anyway, just faster, if they didn’t use these shows.
