Does it make me less of a fan that I am worried about my Canes’ ability to beat UVA?
BRING THE PAIN!

Must get off of Youtube! Anyway, here is the Tiger Band coming down Victory Hill to go into the stadium. They do it before every game and it is a really cool thing to go see. Everyone goes nuts.

Yeah sports fans!
Office workers from buildings lining the route got a little too enthusiastic and started throwing paperwork out of their windows. The records that were found included unshredded files from A.L. Sarroff, Goldman Sachs, and the Bronx Supreme Court, as well as medical test reports, some with identifying information and Social Security numbers which would make identity theft remarkably easy.
Jesus man you want drumlines you don’t go to Clemson. You look for The Ocean of Soul at TSU or Prarie View A&M. Look up Grambling, Southern University or the Funk Train at Jackson State.
I hate link moderation, so I can’t grace you with enough of the clips. Just youtube any of them.
15.
Common Sense
My Bad TSU’s drum line is known as the Funk Train, within their band known as the Ocean of Soul. Jackson State has the Sonic Boom.

@Third Eye Open: That is really cool. I posted this on here before, but in case you missed it, here is Southern’s band at the Southern/ULL game – amazing!!
@smiley: My LSU superfan brother is feeling poetic this morning. He just posted on my Facebook wall “Roses are red, and don’t grow in ditches. Wake the hell up, it’s game day bitches”!
I’m off to store for stuff to BBQ. Gotta give Mr. South something to do.
17.

@Common Sense: I was talking about FSU’s Big-8, Clemson is a bunch of pikers, in my opinion.
But I will check out your links and report back.

Ya punchy, but we are like the 2001 bears. We find a way.
If Florida A&M were in the SWAC, there would be no need to see any other drumline perform. You can go to those games just for halftime. Even their practices are an absolute blast

The Gophers suck. Thank god it’s hockey season, except that they just can’t put the puck in the net. Other than a sweep of overmatched Alaska-Anchorage, we’red 0-4-1. We opened the season with a brutal loss to North Dakota, in which the Gophs just stood around and put in no effort. Since then, it’s been a different story. The second night in Grand Forks, both games against Denver, and last night against the Badgers, we’ve played hard, and the flow of the game has been about even every time, but we just can’t put the puck in the net. It’s tempting to say that we just aren’t catching any breaks, but, while that’s true, it’s in the category of good teams get the breaks. The Gophers can’t score, so the puck always seems to find the post.
Oh, and fuck North Dakota.

Ah, the special pain of following a niche sport (horse racing)- getting bumped at 3:30 so ABC can broadcast college football.
@South of I-10:
That was worth turning the computer on. My grandmother is sitting up cheering you, and she passed away thirty years ago.

@Common Sense: You know, IMHO, all the stuff floating around by A&M for the past few years has been lackluster. I think it has something to do with the financial troubles the school has been in. With that said, there is nothing quite like an A&M half-time show.
…strike, strike, and strike again!

Wow. Northwestern beat Iowa (and Iowa lost their starting QB). I hope Florida is aware of that upset when they face Vandy tonight.

Currently watching the closing minutes of Texas swatting aside my alma mater UCF (Actually, UCF is just one of my alma maters). Glad I’m really a ‘Canes fan.

Yay, the Illini beat Minnesota! Now they’re 3-6 overall! Gawd, what a disappointing season…
Had to come back to this thread to drop another comment. This game is now officially huge with the Iowa loss.
Michigan losing made me smile too. We are…

If Navy can really beat down Notre Dame like this, it’ll be the feel-good story of the college season.
I say this as a South Bend-ish local and a lifetime ND fan – while I can appreciate some of the raw offensive talent on the team, the sooner we can boot Charlie’s ass out the door the better.

Stanford has an early 10-point lead on Oregon. Liking it.
The Iowa loss shows why computer rankings should be taken with a grain of salt. The computers had Iowa at 1 or 2, but anyone who watched them play knew they weren’t nearly that good.
I especially like how the refs have just ignored Navy’s CBs groping Michael Floyd and Golden Tate every time the ball is thrown to them. Very patriotic of them.
Watching Nick Saban is pissing me off, though he probably isn’t any worse about this than any other college football coach. A kid makes a mistake, and he starts ripping them on the sideline. Hey, coach, this isn’t about you. You want it to be about you, go to the NFL. Oh, that’s right. You tried that, and you sucked at it.
These are kids. They’re going to fuck up on a regular basis. We all did when we were twenty. (Ignore, for the moment, that most of us continue to fuck up on a regular basis when we’re forty, too.) Deal with it. Deal with it without getting angry. It happens.
47.
Yutsano
@J. Michael Neal: There seems to be an inordinate amount of injuries in this game as well. I get the whole playing cause you love it thing (the Dawg played football in college) but these kids are giving their heart and soul and their bodies for their coaches.

Hookers and Cocaine
@Yutsano: Stanford impressed. I need to bet on that team more, especially when they’re big dogs.
