Maybe he’s crying over the rumor that GLENN BECK RAPED AND MURDERED A YOUNG GIRL IN 1990.
Of course, it is just a rumor that GLENN BECK RAPED AND MURDERED A YOUNG GIRL IN 1990. But he could clear up the mystery by simply providing positive proof of where he was every minute of the year 1990.
Hey, nobody thinks Beck’s a bigger crocodile-tears phony than I do.
But c’mon, how does this ‘expose’ him? It appears to be a photo shoot meant as a send-up on his crying rep. When he pretends to cry on his show, does he really screw up his face the way he does here? Of course not, he’s a ‘manly patriot’ ‘breaking down manfully.’ But here he’s playing the clown.
Maybe he does use Vaseline all the time, I dunno. But don’t use this as proof.
I take it this photo shoot was part of the Time article on him. It’s already been pointed out how shameful a piece of journalism it was, and this ‘ha ha, let’s laugh along with Beck’ photo shoot looks of a piece with that clueless, adolescent Villager mindset.
But, again, Beck is goofing off here, so the ‘exposed’ tag, I don’t see how it advances the argument against him. Seems to me he and his fellow traitorous rightwing assholes give us plenty of ammunition, without our misreading items like this.

Agree that the youtube title of “EXPOSED” is unwarranted, but I think this is interesting for another reason: the HuffPo article abt this nicely points out that the photog is the same Jill Greenberg who took mean pictures of mean ol’ Sen. McCain, and that Beck had a severe critique of her technique back then.

So what. If you’ve ever been or hung around DJs at the radio station, you know that they have the most insecure yet big egos, pathetic addictions, neurosis and ambition you can find. Beck is no different – idiots fall for his schtick, and schtick it is. All about money, and going where the oppportunity is.
Should we be mocking this? At long last it’s finally okay for Republican Manly Men to cry and reveal their feminine or child-like sides! Is that something we want to discourage?
I, for one, could do with a lot more conservative crying and emotional openness. Especially the first Wednesday of each November.

The Constitution would risk suspension only if Beck or you or your freedom hating ilk were to ever gain power in this country. Asshole.
Yes indeedy, the fourth amendment is gone courtesy of asset forfeiture, the sixth and 5th amendments are gone what with extraordinary rendition, police abuse of tasers has voided the 8th amendment, the 9th and 10th amendments are of course gone after all the raids on medical marijuana dispensaries legalized by state initiatives, and with the various “free speech zones” and that recent Pittsburgh police assault in which military LRAD sonic weapons were used on civilians for the first time ever during the G20 meeting, the first amendment “right of the people to peaceably assemble” and “freedom of speech” is long gone.
So we’re already living in a country with a suspended constitution. About the only amendments left active are the 2nd (right to bear arms) and 3rd (no quartering government troops in private houses).

@linda: Are you aware that the Andy Griffith character was modeled on Arthur Godfrey, the much-loved anti-semitic radio and television personality who was vicious to his staff of “little Godfreys”, and who, in his heyday, probably commanded as much loyalty as Beck?
@General Winfield Stuck: Thanks, must have missed that. But I always thought Atanarjuat was a spoof, especially after reading its website. I sometimes get the same vibe about BoB.
Problem is, it’s just so damned hard to tell wingnut from spoof these days.
Whatever the circumstances, Beck really began touting Skousen in the latter half of 2007. The first brief mention of Skousen in the online archives of Beck’s radio show is Sept. 24, 2007. Less than two months later, Beck interviewed conservative pundit David Horowitz on his radio program. He asked him, “Have you ever read any Skousen? Have you read — do you remember ‘The Naked Communist’? I went back and reread that, it was printed in the 1950s. I reread that recently. You look at all the things the communists wanted to accomplish. It’s all been done.” Horowitz agreed. The very next week, Bill Bennett appeared on Beck’s radio program and received the same question. “Are you familiar with Skousen?” asked Beck. When Bennett replied yes, Beck gushed. “He’s fantastic,” he said. “I went back and I read ‘The Naked Communist’ and at the end of that Skousen predicted [that] someday soon you won’t be able to find the truth in schools or in libraries or anywhere else because it won’t be in print anymore. So you must collect those books. It’s an idea I read from Cleon Skousen from his book in the 1950s, ‘The Naked Communist,’ and where he talked about someday the history of this country’s going to be lost because it’s going to be hijacked by intellectuals and communists and everything else. And I think we’re there.”

Let’s put it this way: that same year, two big-budget projects, T3 and the second Matrix movie, appeared, with long (expensive) chase scenes that were ultimately just boring. The most gripping chase scene of the year by far was the one in Atanarjuat, which featured a naked stone age guy running across the ice.
