So That Is What They Meant

Just watched Roland Burris get sworn in to the Senate by the VP, and I think I found the mysterious taint everyone was talking about. I am not sure it is fair to say Burris is tainted by Dick Cheney’s sins, though.

    You forgot to say, "try the veal." Now do it again.

    Please never talk about Dick Cheney’s mysterious taint again.

    Cheney makes such a perfect villain. Much like Nixon’s head, he lends himself to caricature (Arooooo!).

    How could you even compare Roland Burris’ taint with Dick Cheney’s taint? Any idiot can see that Burris’ taint is much darker than Cheney’s taint, although Cheney’s taint is probably more odious.

    is tainted by Dick Cheney’s sins

    We are all tainted by Dick Cheney’s sins, the depth and breadth of which is still unknown. Aside from the obvious sins of Iraq and Gitmo and torture, he has been on a one man Jihad against anything liberal in the Federal Governing Apparatus. And he has had a true evil genius to carry out his dark mission. And that would be David Addington and his small but malicious cadre of saboteurs . Every agency. Every nook and cranny has been corrupted, if possible, to hamper any law, regulation, or mandated function that could conceivably slow down profit taking by big business. It will take years to unravel and fix, if not decades. It is probably the most under reported story of the past 8 years IMHO.

    @Comrade Stuck: Hey, don’t rub Cheney’s taint on me! I didn’t ask for it, and I won’t accept it.

    @Shygetz:

    Guess I should say, we’ve all been affected by Cheney’s taint, for clarity sake. Grammar no always love meh.

    @Comrade Stuck: Yes, Cheney’s taint has truly affected us all.

    God, I love the English language.

    It sounds like Cheney is headed for becoming a skid mark on the briefs of history.

    Is that what Cheney meant when he said "taint executive and taint legislative"?

    I hear Cheney is retreating to an undisclosed location to work with Hollywood East scriptwriters on a remake of The Champ.

    They also say Sarah Palin is being considered as the love interest, but remain unconvinced by her acting chops.

    You know, John, Cheney proved that taint doesn’t matter.
