Decisions, Decisions

Poor K-Lo:

I feel like the primary campaign isn’t over as fingers point to Mitt Romney supposedly trying to take down Sarah Palin. The whole thing is a distraction Dems must be grateful for.

If the former Massachusetts governor is trying to do Palin in for the sake of his future, why has he been on TV and radio defending her? (Thanklessly, too; conservatives don’t even see him when he’s on David Gregory’s show — just my hunch.)

What is a fangirl to do? Why should she have to choose between the gorgeous piece of Mormon man-meat Mitt and that everyday working girl from Wasilla, Sarah Barracuda? Can’t she have them both?

Why is the world so cruel?

Joe the Plumber may get a record deal

Move over Sanjaya and tell William Hung the news: Joe the Plumber is being pursued for a major record deal and could come out with a country album as early as Inauguration Day.

"Joe" – aka Samuel Wurzelbacher, a Holland, Ohio, pipe-and-toilet man – just signed with a Nashville public relations and management firm to handle interview requests and media appearances, as well create new career opportunities, including a shift out of the plumbing trade into stage and studio performances.

So I guess Obama’s job creation program is off to a good start, there’s one new job right there he’s directly helped create….

Not hardly. It is more like rivers of stoopid flowing out of the NRO and clogging the Dendron’s that carry messages to my brain cells. There ought to be a pill for it.

Joe the Plumber may get a record deal

Figures it will be C&W. No talent or musical abilities are really required.

He’ll probably sell as many CD’s as Mary Cheney sold books. And disappear just as fast.

You joke, but if there is any chance of a very long, protracted primary battle between Mittens and Sarah in 2012, that goes all 50 states, well that would be highly entertaining. After all, it’s not like we’ve seen anything like that before.

Of course, it would certainly be a heckofa lot less excruciating to watch from the other side of the aisle.

    At the same time?

Jeezus, man. That’s not how K-Lo rolls.

At least I pray to the FSM that it’s not.

Now there’s this image in my head….

This blog has made me pick up a bad habit – going over to check on wazzup at The Corner.

My adrenaline dose came from seeing some chick named Shiffren up in arms that a judge had the temerity to rule that the homeless can vote. At first I was mystified by her construct – that you just can’t protect America’s security and votes if you let the homeless vote:

Try as I might, I cannot really understand how even a minimum standard of voting security can be maintained when, as an Ohio judge did yesterday, you decide to let the homeless vote.

Then I looked her up and figured out she had been Dan Quayle’s speechwriter.

    All ‘splained now.

Oh, this is too funny! Uhhh, Mr. Frankenstein? That monster you made, well, uhm. . .

Wolf Blitzer: And this just coming into the "Situation Room," the Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin now speaking out openly about her intentions in 2012 if, if she and John McCain were to lose this contest next Tuesday. In an interview with ABC News, Sarah Palin is now saying, she would be interested in remaining a serious national political figure, going ahead to 2012. She was asked what happens in 2012 if you lose on Tuesday, would you simply go back to Alaska? Elizabeth Vargas of ABC News asked her and Palin said this, and I will read it to you verbatim according to an ABC News transcript: "Absolutely not," Sarah Palin says. "I think that, if I were to give up and wave a white flag of surrender against some of the political shots that we’ve taken, that … that would … bring this whole … I’m not doin’ this for naught," and that is a direct quote from Sarah Palin. Clearly, leaving open the possibility that she would be interested in leading the Republican Party in 2012 if she and John McCain were to lose this presidential contest right now. Let’s go to Dana Bash. She has been covering the McCain campaign reaction from the rather blunt statement from Sarah Palin that she would in fact be interested in leading the Republican Party going forward after Tuesday if they lose?. . .

If you haven’t already, go to Atrios, read the rest, and play the video. And let’s hope some reporter is in a position to ask McCain if he’ll be supporting Sarah in 2012 should he lose.

You ask if she can have them both at the same time… and I shudder at the fusion Palin-Romney/Romney-Palin ticket in ‘12. I’m 30, I’ve been registered as a Republican since I was 18 (I’m changing to independent after the election), and the idea of either of those two on the ticket, let alone both, is enough for me to call it a day.

Ha, I say, Ha. Sure Obama is going to be on the air for twelve hours tonight and sure the so-called conservative movement gnashes its teeth in the mistaken belief that Obama seeks to defeat McCain/Palin. The fact, the indisputable fact at that, is that Obama wants to divert the Nation’s attention from the debate between two real Americans either of whom would be better than all four of the rest combined; with, with I say, Huccarromboid thrown in.

Don’t know why it is on now, a scheduling glitch? But I am pretty sure I am watching the 30-minute Obama commercial.

Whatever it is, this is the best political ad I have ever seen.

    Just riveting, and …. convincing.

I am totally blown away, and there isn’t much in politics that blows me away.
