Kids are having a graduation pool party in Texas. Bunch of blah kids show up to join in the fun, Racist Texas mom gets in a fight. Racist bullshit starts, including yelling “go back to the projects,” etc. Cops are called, and then proceed to brutalize blah kids. Cop trips on route, then proceeds to go ballistic to save face:
Meet today’s racist out of control cop, Mckinney Police Supervisor Eric Casebolt.
America 2015.

In a righteous world the other officers on scene would have arrested the asshole on the spot. And use compliance techniques if he resisted. Unfortunately that’s unlikely anywhere in the US, let alone Texas.

I liked the heroic Textard cracker standing guard over the cop, his hand on his concealed carry piece inside his waistband, I presume – just in case one of “them” decided to physically attack Officer Soggypanty or tried to Second Amendment solve his policing methods (which was, quite frankly, deserved).
Lurking Canadian
What the ever-living fuck is wrong with these people? He pulled a gun on a kid at a swimming party? I’m sure he was in fear for his life. ‘Cause maybe the kid was packing a Glock in his trunks?

When did cops start being such potty mouths? The disrespect they show to citizens is astounding. No wonder these things escalate so quickly.
Villago Delenda Est
Yes, this is John Roberts’ “post-racial America”, alright.
Ever since the near sheriff stole two elections by busing in hundreds of thousands of illegals to cast illegal ACORN facilitated ballots for him fraudulently (did I mention all the illegality involved in this?), the “post-racial” America has become even more “post-racial.”
What a coinky-dink!
Chet
@Lurking Canadian: That “kid” is an animal. A dangerous, Negroid animal.
@beth: Not citizens. Animals.
That’s the mindset we’re dealing with.
Villago Delenda Est
@beth: Exqueeze me, but blah people are not “citizens”. They are “illegally emancipated property”, at least in the states of the rebellious Confedracy that was crushed by Union armies 150 years ago.
UmYeah
I hear the cop getting mad because people ran. Of course they run with shit like that happening.
Villago Delenda Est
@Lurking Canadian: Hey, those “kids” have peckers that would compare favorably with that of the Clenis.
Brachiator
So who are the plain clothes doofuses? And why weren’t they doing more to control the dumb ass uniformed cops? It was chilling to see the cop draw his gun just because he was not being obeyed, but here it looked as though the other officers reined him in.
But the thing could have ended tragically, and it would have totally been the cops at fault.
Villago Delenda Est
@Brachiator: The cop was in fear for his life. One of those blah kids could have hit him with the pool.
Betty
Still hoping for puppy pictures. This stuff is just too depressing.
Lolis
When the really bad cop drew his guns you kind of see the cops try to rein him in, but they did not do what they should have done, which was shut that down. There were two of them and one of this crazy cop. The disrespect he showed the kids who were all very polite is not even shocking. Cops treat many many people this way and see nothing wrong with it. It is repulsive.
Elizabelle
It’s refreshing that Texans had to go to a pool to get wet.

…drew a gun on kids in bathing suits.
Under what pretext? No grand jury is gonna buy that one of those children had a piece hidden in her bikini top…have you seen what they’re wearing at the pool these days?
Impunity is a valuable concept that I learned about in the context of state actions against citizens in other countries. It’s looking like time to roll it out for domestic use.
Suzanne
I don’t know why anyone of any color trusts cops at all. The people I know that became cops were the biggest control-freak assholes as teenagers. I am white, and I get nervous around them, so I cannot even imagine how I would feel if I was black.
Story: my ceramics instructor is a gay man, and a few years ago, his partner unexpectedly passed away in their home. He called 911, and the police told him to get out of the house and that they couldn’t talk to him, because they would only deal with family. He was pushed away from the body of his longtime partner in his own home. This was before LGBTs could get married here in AZ. When he told me that story, my heart broke for him.

Cops are paranoid thanks to the NRA and FOX News. In Florida a couple of weeks ago, our hosts pointed out one of the largest nudist colonies in the country. No doubt if the police had to go in there for any reason, they’d think somebody would come at them with a gun jammed up their butt crack.
Glidwrith
What I thought particularly compelling was the utter lack of concern he showed to several people standing behind his back, both before and after he pulled his weapon. I guess since they were white they weren’t a threat, eh?
Ruckus
@Chris:
Yes, they always have each others back. ALWAYS. And of course the guy was a supervisor as well. So wouldn’t he normally be the one telling others what to do, being in even more control?
First, how do you fix that? Cops do get into situations that require them to be physical, and yes to even shoot people and they do need to depend on each other, frequently they are out numbered. Better training? Better employment selection/weeding out? Better supervision?(OK that didn’t work in this instance for sure)
What gets me is that we think it is worse now than decades ago. It isn’t. We just see it now, when we didn’t before. Lots of cops don’t think there is less crime, I’d bet they never will, no matter what the numbers.
Chris
@Mike in NC:
Cops are also not entirely wrong to be paranoid, being that thanks to the NRA, they face a more dangerous environment than most of their European counterparts ever would.
But God forbid police departments should blame the NRA when they can blame blacks and permissive liberals.
WaterGirl
So maddening-frustrating-disgusting-discouraging-horrifying. Kids running from crazy racist cops with guns? Shit, how do you even know what’s your best option for staying alive? Running or staying?

Ruckus
@Glidwrith:
A very good point. Several people made the same observation about the Waco videos. Cops with automatic rifles with their backs to the “motorcycle gangs” sitting there uncuffed with their cell phones out. And they are all vicious killers. Right.
scav
@Chris: “more dangerous environment” Not exactly supported by the numbers of police actually shot or wounded from what I’ve read, nor by the fact that more and more of the guns are in fewer and fewer of the hands. But the perception of a dangerous environment is certainly fueled by the NRA and the media for purposes not unrelated to their desire for profit.

Because they ran? Seems like it’s probably a 50-50 chance of being the right option. Neither is a good option for at least a black person. Notice that several of the kids picked up the flashlight that one cop dropped and gave it back to him. His first response was why did they run and then thanked them for the light. We all know that if you run you must be guilty. Right? Being afraid of a beat down or being shot should never enter into it. Wait, isn’t there something called reality?

The police are terrorizing citizens and getting away with it. Are we a third world nation or are we a democracy? Seems like we need to decide.
gene108
@Chris:
Cops don’t give a shit about white people with guns.
When have they shot a white guy?
There are YouTube videos of cops talking to guys open carrying and nothing crazy happens.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sj9wahCTz08
Cops seem more hardwired than most to attack blacks. Maybe their training is behind it? Who knows, but the older white guys, who were milling around where the black girl was being pinned to the ground, were not even verbally confronted with interfering. They were not told to sit down or mind their own business.
The white kid, who shot the video was left alone, while the black kids, who had their phones out were told not to record.
There’s something very racist in policing that needs to be burned down, with a cleansing forest fire of renewal.
gene108
@Villago Delenda Est:
But then you’d have to admit that most terrorism in America – such as stalking abortion providers and their staff – is conducted by white, Christian, conservative Americans.
There’s a strange silence around the cover the NRA provides for white supremacists to stockpile guns and how they rally around a white supremacist, Randy Weaver, in his stand-off with U.S. Marshals for selling illegal guns to other white supremacists.
No comments like, “If Randy had showed up to his court date, the cops would not have had to shoot up his family.” None of those comments. Just outrage that one of their own gut busted.
Chris
@scav:
Ah, OK. I admit I don’t know the numbers, but it was my impression that the violent crime rate (with guns) here was still much higher than in most European nations – but I admit I don’t know how that translates to “violent crime with guns against cops.”

The Crips and Bloods are not everywhere. For that matter, with the way crime rates have been going down for the last 20 years, they maybe fewer of them than there were 30 years ago.
They sure as hell are not in a middle to upper middle class community like McKinney, Texas.
I think this whole notion that cops are jittery because everyone may have a gun is not true.
The percentage of Americans, who owns guns is declining.
The ones, who own guns own a lot of guns, such as Michigan militia types and doomsday preppers.
http://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank/2014/07/15/the-demographics-and-politics-of-gun-owning-households/
Assuming the Pew Research is correct it ain’t the blacks, who are buying up all the guns and the police seem to be most jittery around blacks. I am assuming some cop department, somewhere has a clue as to who owns the guns, as they issue the conceal carry permits, for example.
I do not think cops have a new found fear, because of conceal carry permits and open carry laws.
If that was true, than statistically, since mostly white people have more guns, than white people should be getting shut up at higher rates.
That ain’t happpening.

I think I can handle this for them. The officers were already en route to investigate an armed robbery in progress. They noticed an unfamiliar person wanted in several states, who looked just like some of the teens and made eye contact before he got off his bicycle to run. Following department protocol, the officers began to give chase even though it was really, really hot and they had just been to a funeral. Also, they were in fear for their lives. Some teens, who have not yet come forward, impeded the officers’ actions by intentionally blocking the sidewalk while refusing to get out of the road and selling illegal cigarettes, despite being asked not to three times. The officers observed a gigantic dark woman whose braids did not look right, while in the other direction a dark man with a threatening expression appeared to be about to place a hand inside his low riding swim trunks. The officers’ supply of batteries was dangerously low due to a lack of community support, so they could not call for backup or turn their cameras on. One of the juveniles, who may have had previous brushes with the law, initiated a struggle for control of an officer’s weapon, but then some white kids brought the flashlight back to them before tasers could be deployed. All week there had been reports of trouble brewing.

As a former cop, and father to a teenage son…the lack of escalation/de-escalation training just astounds me. A few weeks ago, my son’s high school let out for the year, and he and his buddies decided to skate to the church parking lot where the pastor lets them do their thing. Because there are limits to how many teens can be in a single car, they could not drive there. Some woman was inconvenienced and had to wait for them on the road, and she rolled down her window and yelled at them. They yelled back. She went home, called 911, and the cops responded and started to question the kids, mine included. The cop decided that my 120 pound kid holding his skateboard was a threat. He didn’t ask him to put it down, he just reached for it, and my son reacted by pulling back. The cop then took him to the ground, pinning his arm beneath him so he could not respond when ordered to put his arms out. The second cop threatened to tase him for not complying. Seriously. These cops outweighed my son by a hundred pounds. Pussies, the lot of them. That is all I see these days, wanna be heroes with serious control issues, and we arm them and turn them loose. It is the most important issue we face as a country at this moment. My son was lucky, but it easily could have gone from bad to tragic in a heartbeat.

Clearly, it happens everywhere, but I would feel completely safe saying that African Americans bear a disproportionate amount of abuse. Where I come from (and where I did police work) it was more common to see abuse directed at Mexican Americans. A couple of miles over…not the case.
Yes, more and better training is a good start…but it may take years to eliminate the militarization of our civilian police forces. When I was POST certified, the emphasis was on professionalism, and there was a huge push to hire cops with at least two year degrees…I don’t think this is the case anymore.

This is just another excuse for wankers like Cole to mastuarbate over their “white cops all hate black people” horsesheit opinions.

@Mack: I’d like to view the hiring process and the pre-hire interviews of the ones who assaulted your son (and all the others). I’d like to know in general how police departments preferentially “score” their applicants these days. (Even though I hate that stuff, if they’re using it I want to know what it is.) I’d like the general standards for hire and for continued permission to carry a weapon to be available to the community that is doing the hiring.
When police are trained to hone their reflexive actions, are they also equally trainied in suppressing their reflexes according to the situation? Because the success of their argument about fearing for one’s life seems to ignore any need for anger management and reflex override.
Perhaps change will hurry up as communities are forced to spend huge amounts of money to defend police abuse.
Great respect for your son for handling himself well during a very fcked up assault. I’m sorry this happened to him,

Just watched it again. The cop was right.

@Aleta: The hiring process used to be fairly successful at weeding the truly bad apples, the background checks were thorough and they actually interviewed neighbors, co-workers, etc. I know I didn’t have much psychological screening that I remember, but I was the furthest thing from officious, just isn’t my nature. I didn’t fit in well either, I was vocal in my outrage over abuses and, at the risk of doing a total injustice to Frank Serpico…I was not popular with my peers. I could never totally buy into this idea that it was “us” against the whole world. Anyway, I appreciate your comments about what happened to my son, and a special thank you for using the word assault…because that’s what it was.

I am Steve, I am a guy and I’m apparently the only one around her e with any sense. Btw, spent this weekend running my baseball team. Won both games on the weekend
This is always the last refuge of fucktards like you. Make up some all American bullshit story that is the opposite of your reality, which is really a “room” in the basement of your parents home, no decernible way to earn a living ( unless getting drunk and going Woooo at the bar is a job) and no real physical skills to play baseball, much less coach. Heckling some little league team with a six pack is not coaching. Stop the lies, reebo. Stop the lies.

@A guy: you gave up your hentai porn to watch it again? Just be sure to wipe off the screen.

All over the country, children’s lives and safety are in danger from officers who are visibly out-of-control, even when recorded. An officer who is well-armed, with armed back-up, showing 100% less impulse control than the teenagers around him, uses his erroneous martial arts training to proudly aggress and injure a child.
And still there are people in his community and country who, unashamed to give their real names, immediately blame black 14-15 year olds. In other countries, similar mindsets have turned out very badly for everyone’s existence.
