    Last time I gave money to one of these things I ended up on a bunch of mailing lists. I got off most of them, but some people still keep spamming me.

    Given that you’re raising this kind of money, perhaps they’d listen to you if you asked for a “do not contact” option? I’m happy to donate, but can’t afford the time and aggravation of running down a bunch of idiot marketroids again.

    I’ve suggested, partly in jest, that the long game might be privatization of the public lands, federal patents and other joint assets.

    Romney today:

    Unless there’s a valid, and legitimate, and compelling governmental purpose, I don’t know why the government owns so much of this land.
    So I haven’t studied it, what the purpose is of the land, so I don’t want to say, “Oh, I’m about to hand it over.” But where government ownership of land is designed to satisfy, let’s say, the most extreme environmentalists, from keeping a population from developing their coal, their gold, their other resources for the benefit of the state, I would find that to be unacceptable.

    That’s why he needs to sell off all the public lands with the sale open to everyone, or at least to the 95% of Americans who can manage the $10,000,000 minimum bid. Plus foreign friends.

    That way no one will be able to claim that there was favoritism at play.

    gonna be a difficult for me to cough up the cake but I am on for a few bucks.

    On a personal note, those of you who think I am full of shit I now have proof you are wrong! I was full of piss, they took at least 3 liters out & more is still coming. I have a huge diverticulum that was holding it. The good news is that everything else was OK so I won’t need further surgery. I will have to catheterize myself regularly.

    I hear ya, I’ve had to piss many a time, lifting my leg up like a dog, to empty the piss bag strapped to my ankle. And practically camp out in the ER for when the Foley screen got gummed up with blood. Full of piss and no open holes to get rid of it. No fun.
