There’s nothing I don’t love about this.
Especially when paired with this:

Buddy Roehmer officially launched his presidential campaign. I’m ecstatic. We need more crazy Republicans on the national stage.

Great videos! I lost it when he channeled Droopy…

Those are both awesome. I love how the first guy even sort of looks like the people he’s doing impressions of, as he switches from one to the other.
Theo is adorable. “Yeah! That is the question!” Excellent.

@Southern Beale: You’ve got to be kidding! MORE loony NeoConfederates coming out of the woodwork. Unpossible!

Is is sad that I did not realize that Brian Cox was British? Or is that a fake accent?
July 21st, 2011 at 8:40 pm
He doesn’t get the tones right, though, he’s got Morgan Freeman and Tom Brokaw each up an octave from their speaking voices.
July 21st, 2011 at 8:42 pm
He’s British! I don’t think I knew until I saw this video a couple years ago.
July 21st, 2011 at 8:51 pm
I do believe the Brian Cox video made my evening. Thanks.

@ 9: Dumb + incoherent = awesome Troll sauce.

ToRWEPsLW: OMG! That so bugs me, too! So you know what I do? Listen close. I only read the blog posts that I want to. Seriously! With a little practice, you can learn this Advanced Reading Technique, too.

@Tired of Right-Wing-Enabling-Pseudo-Left-Wingers:
DougJ? Is that you?
Loved the impression video. His Dubya is spot on; made me wince.

I read that second sentence as though ABL has persecuted “marginalized minorities”...
I can’t say that I ever seen ABL persecute any minorities, let alone marginalized ones.
July 21st, 2011 at 9:12 pm
@ 9: You know who ELSE was an Erik Erikson/Ann Coulter parody of themselves?
July 21st, 2011 at 9:13 pm
@Tired of Right-Wing-Enabling-Pseudo-Left-Wingers: Ahem. “Them” and Their” are plural. ABL is a she, gender is obvious, not unknown, and the correct English would be:
“ABL is now … a parody of HERSELF”
“...when will SHE go …”
“ABL provokes exactly the opposite reaction SHE INTENDS”
Your writing is like fingernails on a blackboard.

I’d seen the Brian Cox one a while ago and lurved it. The impressions guy is fantastic. His Woody Allen had me on the floor. After a day when it was supposed to have felt like 125 outside, I needed a laugh.
July 21st, 2011 at 9:14 pm
Ahem. I’m pretty sure 9 was a joke. At least it looked like one.
July 21st, 2011 at 9:27 pm
yes, loved the vid. why does hearing Christopher Walken’s voice come out of someone else mouth make me sooooo happy everytime. Thought his keitel was awesome too.
July 21st, 2011 at 9:28 pm
Thread needs mo Charlie

I loved the fact that Garrison Keillor was followed closely by Droopy Dawg.
And, yes, it is time to discuss ABL’s troubling association with Grover Norquist. How much is he paying you, ABL?

@Tired of Right-Wing-Enabling-Pseudo-Left-Wingers
Seriously, kid, you need a life. It’s kinda sad that you’re constantly thinking about ABL, when I’d bet anything she sure as hell isn’t thinking of you.

Number 9 just went Number 2 errrrrrrywhere.
July 21st, 2011 at 10:18 pm
From what I can tell most of the readership IS old.
And yeah, yeah, “help, help, I’m being oppressed, etc.”
July 21st, 2011 at 10:30 pm
thank you so much—- funny, intelligent. loved it.
July 21st, 2011 at 10:36 pm
OMG, his Brokaw had me in the floor. Thanks, ABL!
July 21st, 2011 at 11:03 pm
Jeez you don’t realize how little you laugh out loud until you see a child do Hamlet. Thnx!
July 21st, 2011 at 11:34 pm
There you go again ABL with the persecuting marginalized troll minorities schtick. If you keep it up I may suddenly become very concerned about Chapaquidik. Harumpf! I say.

@Ol’ Dirty DougJ: Given the range of voices, I’ll give him some leeway. But yes, he doesn’t nail the bass voices all that well. It would be interesting to see him try (mangle) James Earl Jones.
July 22nd, 2011 at 2:29 am
I have to say that his choices of which lines to speak in which voice were absolutely brilliant.
July 22nd, 2011 at 3:02 am
If you like that first clip, you have to see The Trip.
July 22nd, 2011 at 7:24 am
If they hadn’t posted it, I’d have thought he was doing Lieberman when he was doing Droopy Dog.
AS an actor, I thought the impressions were brilliant – not just vocally, but look at his facial impressions.
He obviously uses some of those to ‘channel’ his characters.
And the kid was great!
And thanks, ABL, I needed that
July 22nd, 2011 at 8:32 am
love love LOVE!
July 22nd, 2011 at 9:51 am
Thanx ABL. You’ve brightened my day.
