White Rappers Make Me Laugh
(Click to embiggen) Looks like we need an open thread.
Am I the only one who thinks this kind of stuff is funny as hell? In the same vein, this cover cracks me up. (From Reddit, where else?)

Hmm, would I still like “Hotel California” if it were sung in rap?

I think Stewart MacDonald should sue this guy.

Is that Opie from Sons of Anarchy?

And “Stewmac” sounds like an unsuccessful Dinty Moore product rollout.

That is disrespectful and racist. If you want to hear a real white rapper:

Here’s something else on Reddit that’s awesome:
Amazing high quality color photographs from as far back as 1911.

@djheru: That’s a good one.

@feloniouspopes: Those are amazing. And people are still taking photos with those old cameras to this day. That’s just incredible.

“Am I the only one who thinks this kind of stuff is funny as hell”
No. And this one belongs on the Mt.Rushmore of white people looking ridiculous acting black:

You want to see funny white rappers?
Try John Maynard Keynes and Freidrich von Hayek on for size:

This is all terribly racist. Where is ABL?

I find Kid Rock’s appeal to Southern whites ironic. A white rapper from Michigan, whose fans are mostly the same folks, who listen to country music a lot.
I wonder if Eminem and Kid Rock should do a tour together. The White Rappers from Michigan Unity Tour. Maybe Madonna can open for them, to keep the whole Michigan theme alive.
Also, too I think movie with Will Smith and Mark Wahlberg about rappers trying to get into acting would be cool.

Also, too: Is saying that white people cannot rap different than saying black people can’t swim?
Omnes Omnibus - April 30, 2011 | 11:17 am · Link
@Tim, Interrupted: cf. Pat Boone covering Little Richard and Elvis.

“Is saying that white people cannot rap different than saying black people can’t swim?”
No. The problem is you can’t really swim awfully – those people drowned. But you can rap awfully. And the black rappers get weeded out better than the white ones.

Given that it’s almost certainly a parody of old No Limit Records albums and not an actual rapper, finding it funny is probably appropriate.

How on Earth did we get a thread about white rappers without talking about nerdcore?

I find the continuing phenomenon of ironic/self-referential “white rap” to be embarassing in light of the fact that Licensed To Ill is 25 years old….

i also find at least the headline a bit offensive if not racist.
just say “THIS white rapper makes me laugh”. certainly, his whiteness plays a role in the comedy, but to say white rappers make you laugh comes off like all white rappers are inherently comedic. idk.
anyway, this cover IS hilarious. the pregant women? o my Lord. the wolf in the background is also Money.

@billy rae valentine:
Not racist, just ignorant. We’ve come a long way from Vanilla Ice, but hey, if mistermix* can’t be bothered to listen to some Brother Ali, it’s his loss, not hip-hop’s.
People who lump all white rappers together? Give ‘em the Gas Face, I say.
*which totally sounds like the name of a white rapper, come to think of it

I’m glad that someone finally included the Gourds’ cover of “Gin and Juice.” Man, I could listen to that shit every day and still laugh my ass off each time I heard it.

It’s a fake but you’ve gotta love the detail like the beer and head fill of the name and the random and excessive sparkle effect. I suspect $tewmac would be perplexed by magnets as well.

More of a reinterpretation than a cover.
