The Donald knows the value of keeping his name in the news.
So he’ll go past 11 to 12, if he must, to keep his name out there.
It’s his bread and butter. Or caviar and vodka, I guess.

This is why I love the right wing talking point that President Obama is thin-skinned. They have the most insecure, petty, and sensitive people on their team. Trump trumps them all. I love that he dissed Bill Cosby, too. That will go over well.

Umm granted I’m reading this on a small iPhone screen, but this post seems like one of those arcane/meta posts that like 4 people get and that’s not intuitively obvious.
slag
Ha! A metaphor for our times.
Comrade DougJ
@Amanda in the South Bay:
No, it’s not, when you see the picture you’ll see where I’m coming from. It’s almost too weird to describe.

Implying that Cosby is an incoherent, hypocritical racist will reap the whirlwind for The Hairpiece.
Jesus, Cosby reminds everyone of their dad. He reminds me of my dad – who is not black, but it doesn’t matter, Cosby reminds me of him every damn time I see the guy. I don’t know what Trump is trying to do here, but it is not going to end well for him.

There is something vaguely psychopathic about marking up an article like that then sending it back to the publisher. Of course Vanity Fair fell for releasing it rather than making it an office inside joke.

OT: Good news, everybody! Atlas Shrugged is finally in theaters.

I was going to highlight the “And who is Ben Smith?” part, but I see you already made it a tag.

The talk of Spy magazine is a reminder that – as hard as it may be for the young ‘uns to believe this – there was once a time when it required a bit of courage to publicly ridicule Donald Trump.
Nice to see that, despite the many years that have passed since then, he’s still vulgar and still short-fingered.

Ben Smith haz a sad today.

Can we just stop with Trump? All he is doing, besides self promoting is making the other GOP candidates look less insane and more dignified.

For God’s sake, Sarah Palin had a long-running public feud with the father of Bristol’s child! If watching wits with a 19-year-old is taxing her, maybe she shouldn’t be the one answering the red phone in the WH at 3 a.m…

@Zifnab: I like how the “select your state” box is in 36-point type, so you can read it without your bifocals.

@Lolis:
The Today Show made more hay with the incident this morning. Donald responded to Cosby, but Cosby didn’t return their calls.
Bill Cosby is a smart, educated black man. Cosby’s just a stand-in for the real target.

@Lolis:
So much of the wingtard bloviation is pure projection. See the obsession with Obama and teleprompters, for example.

Yeah! Now, Andrew Sullivan ….

You forgot “well-spoken”.

I don’t always agree with Cos, but good on him for not screwing with this. Which part of “I don’t want to talk about Trump” did they not get The First Time?
It’s almost like they are trumping up a fight between them for story’s stake, or something.

Alex Pareene says the Trump-for-prez thing has moved beyond the Donald’s usual “look at me” antics to something truly pathetic: the sad clown phase.
Can’t argue with that.

Sorry, OT: Steam has Bioshock 2 for $4.99 today. 2K games are on sale this week. I got Mafia 2 for $10 yesterday. I’m hoping Civ V is on sale tomorrow or Thursday.

I’m sure ratings have nothing to do with it.

Bill Cosby goes around my house turning lights off in rooms that nobody is in. I know why he does it, but it’s still creepy.

Can’t wait until Palin and Trump start airing negative ads about each other. The whining and escalated responses and responses to the responses will quickly test our experimental ability to resolve the Wingularity.

there aren’t clown shoes big enough for the Donald, every pair the previous clown brings out Trump goes and proves he can fill AND THEN SOME…

I’m looking forward to the Trump / Huckabee ticket…

…I tell you the truth, it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.

You know, I’ve noticed that the Capi Attention Whore De Tutti Attention Whores is actually a bit thin-skinned. His nasty letter to the New York Times last week gives away his Achilles heel.
He doesn’t like certain buttons to be pushed, which he magnanimously lists for us.
It would be the height of rudeness to ceaselessly and mercilessly mock those sore points in the elephantine ego of the lying sack of shit, uncivil in the extreme.
Which I am completely positive that nobody will want to take advantage of. Because, you know, it would just be wrong.
A hell of a lot of fun nuking the pants-load, but wrong nonetheless.

Apparently, money cannot keep dementia away.

Maybe Donald is behaving this way because he hasnt had his anal gland expressed.
Gross, but that’s my theory.

@Zifnab:
Interestingly enough, per Rotten Tomatoes, The Hollywood Reporter’s and Variety’s critics got hold of it before its release, and then only one other critic. None of these critics were exactly overwhelmed (surprise!).
Can’t wait till Ebert gets a hold of this – provided he deigns it even worth his time.

I became utterly convinced that The Donald’s candidacy is a joke when he declared to Meredith Viera that he was SO looking forward to the point in June when he would need to release his personal financial records in order to run.
If there is one thing about Trump I’m sure of, it’s that (a) he has nowhere near as much money as he’d like people to believe, and (b) he feels deeply that this is as emasculating to him as his shortfingeredness, and all that THAT implies. (Ok, two things.) So no, there’s no way on earth that Trump ever lets this stunt go so far as to require him to show he’s just a rich blowhard, not a SUPER-rich blowhard. May I point out, Donald, that if you wanted to you could release that information now, before it’s required. What’s that? Oh, yes, I thought so.
EJ
I LOL’d when they said his card was printed on “surprisingly thin paper stock.”
I was hoping they’d work in a reference to Huey Lewis and the News but that would have been a bit of a stretch.

@Joe Beese: April 15th, that’s tax day most years.

@DonkeyKong:
For the right person, it should be quite simple to snap a photo of him in his “special place”(you know, the place where he told the Christian Broadcasting reporter he keeps all his Bibles) licking his butt and dragging himself across the carpet with his arms, sitting upright.
That might sink the whole campaign, once and for all. It would be totally worth sleeping in the janitor’s closet at Trump Plaza for a few days, doncha think?
Amir_Khalid
@Ella in New Mexico: Eww.

@Studly Pantload, Vibrant Trollbot for Obama:
It’s probably just that most of the daily critics’ scores won’t be posted until the reviews get printed in the Friday papers.

@Linda Featheringill: Just wondering how old Trump is anyway? Could he be succumbing to senility because this is just not the behavior of a normal person.
EconWatcher
Please, please, keep the Donald in the race, for as long as possible. This is pure gold.
Lysana
@gelfling545:
Problem is, he’s been like this for years. His feud with Rosie O’Donnell a few years ago was just as vapid, insipid, and hypersensitive. Not saying Ro was a complete victim, but he’s always been this kind of a bullying twit. When they talk about rich white cisgender male privilege, The Donald is a walking example of its worst excesses.

What’s the ‘bad writer’ comment? Is he confusing her with Jen Weiner

Someone who argues with magazine editors would be just perfect for the White House, dontcha think?

When was he ever?
Kilkee
@Sad_Dem: Yes, especially when their primary complaint is the “bad picture” of their sleek and handsome self.

If Palin and Gingrich run, it will be a three-way race to see who can lock up the petty and vindictive asshole vote; a sizable constituency in any internal GOP contest.
They could bill it as “The Thin-Skinned Trifecta.”
