Pets of Balloon Juice
To try to raise some money for Animal Rescue and to brighten up your day each and every day in 2011, LauraW has come up with this fantastic idea for the Balloon Juice store:
Pets of Balloon Juice 2011 Calendar Call For PhotosSince no one here ever gets enough darling pet photos, we’re going to create a 2011, 8.5×11, 12-month calendar for the Balloon Juice CafePress Store. using your best photos of your pets! We’re shooting for an end of October availability date so there is plenty of time for holiday shopping in the store. As usual, all profits from the sales will go to Charlie’s Angels Animal Rescue in Western North Carolina
Guidelines:
2 photos per pet maximum, please.
Submissions accepted through Tuesday, Oct. 26.

Good idea. I will definitely buy one, maybe even submit a kitteh foto. I think you should also consider doing a book of the rescue stories. I love to read them. If Sully can sell a book with “the view from my window”.....

Fantastic idea! I wish I had a pet, just so that I could submit a photo!
(My friend’s dog had pups two weeks ago…I am resisting the temptation, despite their Lhasa-terrier-mutt adorableness.)

Every month will have that many pictures? That’s a lot of pictures! I think each picture should have a name on them, for reference. That way the dog owners and the cat staff can get a shout out instead of saying how cute the tiger cat is that’s 4 down from the third row in from the left in April. Also.

Ya see anyone who reads my blog (ie no one) will know that I have just been presented with a new itty bitty kitty that has nothing to do with me, I mean really, she is a complete stranger and now I am stuck with her… cause whatever, in good news she is getting fat, while she was a skinny kitty, she is now chowing down on the food that is always at the front door and she is packing on the pounds people!

On second thought, BRILLIANT idea!
May I submit pix of friends’ adorable new kitten, Leonardo Da Kitteh (which I took)? I think the first two, of Leo looking kittenish and playing hide-and-seek with the pumpkin, would make excellent calendar fodder. Though I am also fond of these shots of my lanky black kitty, Felix, (walking on the vent hood and drinking water from the faucet).

However, due to the fact that the food at the front door disappears overnight I am firmly of the belief that Samantha is out there and she is merrily living her life in the swamp and coming home to eat at night.
