Open Thread: Celebrating Birth Control
There’s nothing like listening to a couple of lesbians singing about birth control and beer to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the pill.

There’s nothing like putting off cleaning when you know your landlady is coming over. Eh. It’s a house. I live in it. It’s never going to be in show room condition.

@Tara the antisocial social worker:
Tara, I read your comments et al. at GOS, and have long wanted to tell you how much I love your blog name. I always tell people I used to work in the inhuman services. As you might guess, my time there was short and unhappy – although one consequence of my tenure was that I was a foster parent for nearly twenty years.

@Winston Smith:
Hmm—pretty sure I did as well. If they played at Chances (Austin) pretty sure I was there. I don’t think that kind of scene is around any more, unfortunately ; then again, I’m in Dallas now. Of course, music could be had on vinyl then, too. (Not that I don’t dig (DRM-less) digital or anything….)
