You watch out there. This is more sinister than you think.

The snow here in NEPA is icy, and the roads are unhindered by traction. My Subaru just pulled a van and trailer off a guardrail, out of a ditch, and up a fierce hill. My snow tires are leaning against my sailboat. My Subaru found traction where none exists, on summer tires, and pulled twice it's own weight up a damn hill. My Subaru is a god.

I am sure someone already wrote this, but the 6 hours of snow and 26 degrees temperatures in Houston yesterday support your assertion

The "Climategate" emails have been altered, according to a friend who's in a position to know. Quite the hit job.

Couldn’t be happier with the World Cup draw. England are in a lose-lose sitch with the U.S.: even if they win by 3, it won’t be enough for their over-hyped fans.

I think you're wrong about that: look beyond the tabloid idiocy, and most England fans would gladly take a 1-0 to start the group, with no injuries or dumb yellow cards. The hype may actually be worse for the Americans, given that ABC/ESPN will be harping on about 1950 in the lead-up.

The best vanity plate I ever saw said, "Beyond." That's all. This was back in the late 80s, by the way.

Now, what kind of car was it and what color?

@gbear:
I can’t figure out how the deniers can see unusual or record breaking weather events as proof that climate change doesn’t exist. Light, meet day.
This is the disservice done to the discussion by the original framing of "global warming". Any time temps allow the (willfully) unenlightened to point and say something along the lines of "warming, my ass", they can smugly assert their correctness. However, the more rational viewpoint is to note that conditions becoming significantly different from the norm (warm or cold, wet or dry) may point to the beginning of global changes.

Somebody earlier said teabaggers were in NY protesting terrorist trials. On the news just now they said they were 9/11 family members. Teabaggers trying to steal the spotlight again?

I have been keeping careful records of the daily temperatures here in Southern California, since last 4th of July.
The data clearly shows that the average daily temperatures have trended downward, not upward. It is demonstrably cooler now, than it was last July!
This is, then the final nail in the coffin of AGW. I am sending my scientific data to NewsMax, Townhall, and Pajamas Media, bypassing the liberal filter of the media of George Soros and Al Gore.

Also, Jesus.
