Dad has sent me two quick videos of the puppies, who are now really pretty big:

Thanks. I needed that after reading about murderous motherfuckers who don’t see there’s a wee bit of a disconnect between thinking every life is precious and gunning people down.

Thank you, John. And pass my thanks to your dad for providing the one bit of relief from the despair and hate I’m feeling today. I’m completely overwrought and the doggies are so cute, they brought a tear or two to my eyes.

Too damn cute. Makes me want a puppy then I think of all that boundless energy…

after the video there was suggested video of watching two horny male exchange students engaging in rough play. I decided not to see that.

No longer puppies but somehow, even more adorable than ever. Also nice to get the final word on the “Guesly” pronunciation from your pops, John!

I like how they talk smack and give each other the crazy eye as they go at it.

Now let’s see more footage of them dancing on forbidden furniture.

nothing will ever top that video of them running back and forth across the sofas while your father vacuums; and then horrifyingly sees them.

    Oh. My. God!

    that still cracks me up.

they are way too cute, and i don’t know how your folks deal with their energy. good thing they’ve got that beautiful yard….

My post got eaten – no loss, it was so much babble. Needless to say, these are a couple of cutie-pies.

They’re small-dog cute as can be. Gus is bigger but he knows Ginny is queen bee and she will not be out wrestled.

Awww, they’re adorable. And so big! Can’t believe how much they’ve grown.

They’re pretty obedient. They came running right up when called and then stood around waiting for the next command. Have they gone to puppy school? Or are they just afraid your dad is going to bring out the vacuum cleaner, so they step up when he calls?

    @Cain:

When I watched the roughplay video, the first suggested video after the pups was Pamela Anderson. Can’t get away.

Cute pups. In the first video, how long did they stand there until they realized that dad Cole called them over for no reason whatsoever. No treats, no pats, no nuthin’.

The second clip reminds of a Steelers game. Rough rough. ; )

Btw, I am happy to report we have found no more mice, dead or alive. I think the cats are (somewhat) disappointed, but I am not.

Just curious: anyone ever see a dog capture a mouse? (Squirrels yes, but mice…. I’m thinking not so much.)

I thank you and your folks so much for sharing the progress of Ginny and Guesly. For over 10 years we had three wonderful doggies (one a beagle-Jack Russell mix. Imagine THAT kind of cuteness.)
They are gone now and I can’t tell you how much we appreciate being able to see these pups, and hear all the doggy sounds and see them thinking and going all out being DOGS! It helps fill such a hole in our lives. We can’t have any more doggies just now. Thank you. I watch the dogs-on-sofas video at least once a week. It lifts me up, especially reminded of the Oh God reality of having having had these bundles of energy in my life.

Yeah, my shepherd-chow mix moused once when the cats couldn’t be bothered to do their fucking job. He caught it up in his mouth, trotted out back and let it go.

Quite the bundles of energy, aren’t they? Too adorable.

And I’ll echo the comments on your parents’ yard—it’s absolutely gorgeous.

Yeah, that brought a much-needed smile to my face. Now, a video of Tunch being awesome without even moving his hind legs would really clinch it.

My labrador caught a rat. Made me wonder if she had any terrier…

  31. HRA - May 31, 2009 | 10:50 pm · Link

They are adorable. Thanks for sharing them.

Makes me wonder why we did not get two of Tiki. He has worn me ragged and gasping for relief.

Add my thanks to your dad, John, for this much-needed respite. Guisley’s really a camera hog, ain’t he? And I love their fluffly little ‘terrier handles’—I can totally see trying to grab one of those stubby tails to separate the Whirling Demons of Terrier Death!
