Only the richest 2% of American taxpayers will see their tax rates return to Reagan-era tax rates, the rest of us working stiffs get a TAX CUT!

Read a real newspaper or something to get educated about our real government tax rates.

That is one of the finest examples of unadulterated horse hockey I have ever seen in my life. Where do you come up with those figures? How will the dollar be devalued by 55%? You, like all republicans, are just making crap up.

Never mind that the economy is ALREADY showing signs of improvement (i.e. Wells Fargo earnings report), you just keep your head in the sand, maybe you’ll suffocate and we won’t have to put up with your wing nut buffoonery any longer.

The sad thing is: there needs to be protests in the streets right now. Why are these lame goobers the only ones doing anything? If there was one in my area I’d probably whip up a "Nationalize the Fucking Banks" sign and hit it up.

No truer words spoken: this way the Congress can regain control over the money supply as is written in Article I, Section 8 of the U S Constitution:

Section 8. The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes, duties, imposts and excises, to pay the debts and provide for the common defense and general welfare of the United States; but all duties, imposts and excises shall be uniform throughout the United States;

To borrow money on the credit of the United States;

To regulate commerce with foreign nations, and among the several states, and with the Indian tribes;

To establish a uniform rule of naturalization, and uniform laws on the subject of bankruptcies throughout the United States;

To coin money, regulate the value thereof, and of foreign coin, and fix the standard of weights and measures;

To provide for the punishment of counterfeiting the securities and current coin of the United States….

Read especially the last two verses; so you can understand what "nationalizing the banks" should be all about!

Actually, yes, but the new metric isn’t volume, it’s land area. Tom Brokaw on Morning Joe the day after the election:

I wonder if the rich folks have bi-annual parties where they all sit around and laugh their assess off about how they got the lemmings to carry water for them YET AGAIN.

This is so painfully stupid. Don’t they know 95% of them are getting a tax BREAK?

There’s more than just stupidity at work here. Most of them do know they will get a tax break. But that’s not really the point for these people. Ask them and they will tell you it’s about ‘principles’ or maybe ‘fairness’. Whatever that could mean to people who supported a party whose leader told them the Constitution was just a damned piece of paper—and indeed acted as if it was. Or who thought it was fair to throw people into prison for years on end just on someone’s say-so.

But ‘principles’ is what they are hanging their hat on but it’s just a means to hide what they can’t really say aloud without giving themselves away as ugly bigoted people who at their core don’t like democracy or this country when it is run as a democracy or the rule of law when the law prevents them from doing what ever they want to other people.

Taxes, schmaxes. These people won’t be happy until they get to run things as they please regardless of the will of the majority. Authoritarian assholes are kinda like that.
